are a scum team with a factional "Plunge in Darkness" ability to roleblock someone that Night and also cause them to die the next Night.

If you perform the factional action, the chosen player ceases to exist instead of dying.
(They effectively die for most purposes, lose their faction and role, become an invalid target for all actions, and their death is not publically acknowledged. Cessation of existance usually cannot be prevented.)

If this role is generated, create another copy of the melded townie

Each night you may target a player if two melded townies target each other, they gain a PT together and as long as they both remain alive, they obtain a
very powerful ability
(this should be up to moderator discretion, melded townies are aware of what that ability would be)

all Melded Townies share a 1-shot Bulletproof protection, they know when it gets spent but not if they were the target

Cult Cleanser


Each night, you may target a player. If they are a member of the cult, you will kill them. If there exist "too many" members of the cult, you will compulsively kill a random cultist.
(Ask your local host what too many means.)





I suppose I should outline me philosophy regarding role design for the factions.

For factions like the Mafia, I usually give them a low-powered role. Being able to unilaterally kill any player each night is already a lot.
For factions like the Aliens who do not have the luxury of unlimited nightkills, I tend to give them much more powerful roles to compensate. It shouldn't be killing power, but rather something that can really mess with the town and other factions.
For the Cultlikes, being able to convert players is like being able to kill two players, since you not only remove a player of an opposing faction, but you gain a member too! You will often see me giving them members that are either hilariously underpowered or are even anti-cult. It, at the very least, encourages the cult to self-cannibalize.

Ftr, Dark Creatures lie somewhere on the upper end between Aliens and Mafia.

You are a member of the town who has access to the werewolf PT and who knows its' members. You appear to be a Vanilla Werewolf to the werewolves, but if you attempt to use the factional kill it will be guarenteed to fail.
If you die due to a werewolf killing you, you lose the game. If you are the last town player alive, you may win the game as though you were a werewolf.

When you die, or if the Town is no longer the plurality faction in the game, you start a gang war. All non-Town players gain the following compulsive ability for this phase:
Gang WarTarget another player this phase. If they are not a member of the Town, assuming no interference with your action, they will die.

At the end of each day, you learn how many town ayers voted for you. Then, you have a chance of dying equal to double the percentage of players voting you.




If a host is willing to run a game with only one player on an evil team, then there might be more fundamental problems with the setup than that role.
