Premise

Players compete in missions to earn money for the pot while attempting to suss out the group’s saboteur. Do you have what it takes to figure out The Mole?

• Casted players will be provided with a Revolt login to be used for the game, which will already be added to the game server with the correct starting permissions. (That said, if you would feel more comfortable experiencing its UI firsthand before signing up, feel free to make your own account and explore. You can use the "Discover Revolt" icon on the left to find a server to join.)

1: Casted players will be playing the game under an alias. As such, avoid revealing to people that you've applied or may want to apply as much as possible. If you are cast, aim to keep your identity secret until the Live Reveal event of everyone's identities & the winner.

2: You

must

sit the Quiz during the Quiz phase (48 hours). You are recommended to check in at least once during the Assignments phase; if you are absent, it will mean that your roles in the Mission phase will be picked for you. As for the Mission phase, there will be 2-3 Missions per episode and what those involve will vary. For one Mission, you might need to work on something by yourself for 30 minutes within a 48 hour deadline. For another, you might have 72 hours to make a final decision with a group. Other Missions may have multiple deadlines over the course of the Mission phase. In general, checking in every 24 hours during the Mission phase will be helpful, but we expect you'll often be able to plan around it if you are busy or need a break. A calendar with an overview of the week's deadlines will be posted weekly, helping players know what's coming in advance.

3: Why Revolt? The Mole: Ireland is an Anonymous game held on a chat platform. We sought feedback from another community's experiences with Anonymous Discord games. A fair amount of habitual Discord users find they dislike switching off their primary account to play and this unfortunately can cause them to lose genuine interest in playing from the start. As such, it was decided to use an alternate platform with a similar UI. See above for more information on what to expect while using Revolt.

Game server is currently down for everyone and has been for about 20 minutes. Per the status page, there have been three total outages since May of this type that were all resolved within less than an hour. Mission phase will be extended by at least the amount of time that the server was down. If this is a short amount of time, then this time will be taken out of Quiz phase for Episode 1.
