2024/09/09	DragonEater70	usesPython	"The Rising Star award is awarded to the player that is a rising star in the game of mafia, showing great promise to join the elite echelon of mafia players". usesPython, in my opinion, is the one player this year who has shown the most promise to join the elite of mafia players. The fact that they've already been nominated for two awards this year (one for a scum game and one for a town game), nominations that have been widely supported by players in those games, speaks volumes of their success as a player. In Frienemies Blitz, usesPython, playing as scum, was the architect of one of the most successful (and painful, to the town) distancing gambits of the year. In Mini Normal 2339 - Pictures of Maps, playing as Kaguya Houraisan on the side of town, they were instrumental in turning around a completely losing town game by making the correct mech decisions and making themselves obvtown. Newbie 2133 - Crime Scene Kitchen is a scum game where Python absolutely dominated dayplay. Despite them and their scum partner constantly coming under fire, Python just kept pushing their reads and agendas on everyone in a very forceful and convincing way and ended up endgaming without a single wolf flip. Most Unbalanced Anything uPick Ever is a scum game that Python lost, but only due to the unfortunate circumstance of eliminating a town vengeful in ELo. Their performance in the game was still superb, and they got a town PR (Ircher) to cast a perma-protection on them and pocketed another townie (Immortal Technique) in a hood while mech was pointing to them being scum. In my opinion, Python has shown themself to have the potential of becoming an elite mafia player through the year, and I'm certain they will have many more incredible performances both as town and scum. Also, I know this award is supposed to be specifically for quality of PLAY, but I do think it's worth mention that this year Python has also become a rising star of the modding scene, having modded several popular games.

Not sure if others will agree but I Nominate GreedyBanger for Moment of Brilliance. Somehow found mafia day 1, used their night action correctly N1, and based on info from my own role, was correct on the 2nd scum on day 2 for a flawless town victory.
