not much for additional thoughts from me on this game, thought the game ran relatively smoothly, was an enjoyable one to mod, last days especially were fun to watch, thanks to everyone for playing

happy thanksgiving to those who celebrate

i have a game in the newbie queue scheduled to start after this that will be taking my attention, but i hope to run another game sometime after that, probably a theme game of some sort

Day 5 was the most stressed-out about mafia I've been in a while, but it was pretty necessary for us to win given everyone's conflicting reads. It was a pleasure playing with you, I remembered your reputation from way back when I joined the site and was looking forward to the game; we obviously clashed a lot but did so very civilly and you did a great job course-correcting when it mattered.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

Day 5 was stressful but I'm impressed with how all the town players navigated it given how many town on town conflicts there were

Sorry if I drew it out too much at the end, I was always leaning Cakez but wanted to do my due diligence with time to breathe and maximum information. There were a couple things that tripped me up (most notably ) but the reread did help me become more confident overall. Not to say that I wasn't scared though.

Thanks so much; yes, it was nice knowing that even when I disagreed with you (especially Day Three, woof!) that we could keep it civil.

Day Five was awful (stress-wise), I lost a
lot
of sleep.
I also might have cried a bit
after Pooky flipped town, I was so
disappointed
in myself. Especially after I had compromised on gob Day Four despite my townread there. Ugh. I was so convinced the Day Five Cakez wagon was a desperate attempt by scum to get a "gift" mislim (and drastically increase scum's chances of winning) that I just
couldn't
bring myself to go along with it. Knowing that's
not
what the situation was at all was a good wake-up call that yes, I really
did
need to look at Cakez a lot closer.

It almost physically pained me to flip my vote on Day Six, but as you say, at that point more things just seemed to be pointing towards Cakez. The confirmation that both Dann & Pooky were town (and not, in fact, pursuing a "gift" mislim on Cakez) helped a lot with that.

Mafia is a *hard* game. And playing mountainous -- which we were effectively doing by Day Five -- is so much harder. No handholds to rely on! Hats off to Ame and Tatiana for that being how you *regularly* play the game, that's crazy.
