And I'm back with my thirteenth game! And what better way to spread this unlucky number than with the Ultimate DESPAIR of a Danganronpa game! So Danganronpa is an org concept that has definitely been done before, we've had a bunch where I normally host and when I checked the MS wiki I saw there was one done here as well, cute! But I've always wanted to host a Danganronpa org of my own, so now I will!
This will be a
Class Trial
format! This format was created by Neko Godot like 8 years ago when he hosted the first BB Danganronpa org, and it's one of the most fun and interesting formats ever made tbh. They are one of my cohosts for this too so it's very full circle. So I'll quickly go into how it works:Every round there will be a Killer Challenge, where the players will secretly do a challenge with the winner becoming the SECRET Killer for the round, and nominating two people for elimination. Additionally, the players will also secretly vote for a
Hall Monitor
who will win the power to save one of the nominees, but this cannot be discussed by anyone. Think of it like a social Veto power. The Killer will put up a replacement nominee if the Hall Monitor saves either nominee, and the Hall Monitor CAN be the Killer as well. Once the nominees are locked in place (either by the replacement nominee going up or the Hall Monitor declining to save either nominee), the cast will vote for one of the two to leave, and that player will be eliminated from the game. It's basically Big Brother.
But then! The second half of the cycle begins, in the Class Trial! Everyone will then join up and discuss who they think the Killer was, and try to eliminate them from the game! This class trial will be public, and will be the ONLY form of communication during the duration of it. By the end of the trial everyone will have voted for who they believe the killer is, and if they are correct the killer will be eliminated from the game! But if they are incorrect, the killer will walk free and instead kill anyone of their choosing (excluding those that voted correctly), and they will be immune from the next cycle.
So the format will be a bit of a Big Brother meets Traitors/Mafia type of deal, and this will be the format for the entire game!
There will be some other elements to this with regards to making things fair, but that's the general vibe of it all.
This game will involve
ROOMS
, which are basically just group chats for those involved in proboards. Each round you'll choose a few people to enter your room that round, and there will be no 1 on 1 pm required, these group chats are the ONLY communication you can have with players outside of the main boards. You'll always have a set period of time to decide your rooms for the round, and will have at least 24 hours in whatever rooms you get added to for that round. The only catch is, the killer can only nominate people if they are in a room with that person that round
! It can be a room you invite them to, a room they invite you to, or a room someone else invites both of you to, but you must be able to talk in a room with that player to nominate them that round. So you can choose whether to focus only on chatting to the most popular players, or if you want to add a space for an obvious target so you can kill them if they are in a room with you, and maybe you'll even get to connect more with that person in the process! This should add an element of not icing people out as much and also make things fair for both the killer and the rest of the cast.Anyone who doesn't make a room in a round will be an instant nominee though, and it will be known with the 24 hour notice at the end of room choosing.

24 players!
Anyone from the main three games is available to be picked! So any of the 16 Ultimate Students from Danganronpa 1, 2 or V3 can be picked, with 48 options in total. You do NOT have to know about the theme to pick someone for this, I can just give you someone that works if you don't care who you get. And the cast will be divided into groups to start so multiple trials will happen at once, if I get the entire roster of 48 (which is very very unlikely but not impossible?) then it'd be divided by original game obvs.And these are some example avatars! They might change over time, but for now I'm happy with how they turned out! They have a different colour scheme for each original game, mainly because I am hoping to get equal numbers from each cast here.
The list of reps to choose from is below, but I have had a few people ask for reps before I posted this ad so be prepared to ask for a backup in case that rep is chosen already. This game is set to start on
Friday, April 4th!
How long it takes depends entirely on the cast size, so if it's a cast of about 24 I could see it ending in 4-5 weeks? And more or less if we get more.This will be on EST time, with results happening at 10pm EST time each night. This game is SEMI-LIVE, so all challenges and trial votes have a full 24 hours and the only live event is casting the vote to eliminate once the nominees are put in place, but even that you can leave a prevote list for. You'll always have more than enough time to try and solve the killer for a Class Trial here.
