This is fascinating. Cabd was coming off a bit third party with the role, but this much speculation actually reads town. Which is wild because role speculation usually never reads town to me, but I think it's game solving in this damn limbo phase.

Does anyone actually have a role right now? I'm basically a VT until I draft a power as far as I can tell. If not, I think anyone claiming a role is probably hard claiming third party, which... well, is actually fine, if third parties want to claim now is the time to do so because at L-1 claiming third party is not gonna be a good look.

I should tell people how much I hate limbo phases. Wait I already have.

I guess for super town, I dunno. I've never put mafia as anything other than last in my picks or town anything other than first for these upicks. Which doesn't exactly mean much since I hate that sort of self-meta and might just switch it up for funsies, but if you think I rolled into my first mafia game in years and said "hmm, I'll do the most stressful thing" then... well, I didn't lol. Now that obviously doesn't mean the mod gave me my first pick, or even my second.

I actually have some thoughts about who will pick what role, but I want to hold off on them because well, it's not actually useful to share them.

Mod post seems to exclude alignment switching roles so if you're claiming town I'll have to assume you will stay that way until proven otherwise.

If you are 3p I don't think we really need to worry about the details right now unless you have a standalone win. I tend to believe your claims so far as most of them are pretty confirmable once your neighborizor goes off.

Basically, I don't think this is a good idea. Claiming right now has a chance of going wrong: town does have power roles after all. And in the case it goes right, Cabd would be more likely to be third party than mafia. And maybe they would be a third party that is only harmful to town, but maybe not. It could be good to eliminate them, or it could be closer to neutral.

I also think saying this was a bad idea because if town has only VTs, I am not so sure that mafia/third party only have weak roles. I am a self-proclaimed balance idiot though.

I thought you were suggesting something like we all claim as VT or a PR to logically discover if Cabd is a 3rd party. Such as if everybody else claims to be VT. And I was saying that was not a good idea. If any 3rd parties want to claim I am all for it, and I wouldn't even go after them.

You have a good point in your speculation, but I do advise against a bunch of people claiming to be VT or having a power role right now.

I weighed in my head how likely 106 above was to be real, or to be fake. It could be that parts of the role were claimed truthfully, while some parts (specifically the mason part) were altered.
