6x Town Venge Cop

3x Mafia Inverse Venge Cop


nightless, flipless, mafia have daytalk. plurality voting. if someone is eliminated in f4, they do not get a venge cop ability (as they are known to be town so it defeats the whole point of the setup trying to work out which information to trust).


(venge cop = upon your elimination, you may choose someone to cop. their alignment will be revealed to the thread.
inverse = upon your elimiation, you may choose someone to cop. the opposite of their alignment will be revealed to the thread)


town should have between 2-3 real investigations to work with per game, interspersed with mafia lies.

mafia are not compelled to use their cop ability, but this does out them as mafia if they neglect to. however if they think everyone is always going to 100% think they were mafia anyway, they are not forced into using it (e.g. if they slip scum PT). for the cops, i imagine them only being allowed to investigate in the alive players, to keep up the air of mystery.

Pick someone who is town, force everyone to cop them.

The moment when there's 3 results "This player is town", they are conftown, any player which provided opposite was mafia. And yes, conftown in nightless worth gold.


... Or just elim obvtown player and play by checks. Can afford, i probably sacrifice self in heart beat to aim cop. Which probably will create not best gamestate.

It may work, idk.

And it helps to check amount of scum.

If results are same, then you either elimed two towns in the row or two scum.

For example, there's player Enchonk.

There was two elims, both of them called Enchonk town.


Now town knows: They probably elimed two towns in the row, because two scums are unlikely.

After next elim, if they elim and game DOESN'T end, it means it was mafia. It will be fully confirmed when third elim will post investigation results.

thank you. maybe a restriction that you can only cop someone previously uncopped might help? or some less restrictive restraint to keep the option of double-copping someone open without making it breaking? perhaps double-copping is just not too fun in general and forcing a cop on someone not checked yet is more fun?

i think that you could have it so that the setup is (with flipless and nightless still in place, but name of investigated player not confirmed):
6 town predetermined venge publishing alignment cop non-consecutive-day priest

3 mafia venge publishing alignment cops non-consecutive day priest

the town will always target whoever hammered them but mafia can choose who they target, revealing their target's alignment to the thread.
all players cannot hammer two days in a row.

It might be annoying that you can’t choose your town cop target but I guess you can make up for it by deciding if you want to hammer?

Idk if a whole setup focused around hammer voting might lead to stale vote counts where people don’t really want to vote anyone before hammer?
