I don't think it's unreasonable for a singularly powerful role like cop to be gated. I don't know why imaginality thinks it is so.

1. It seems anti-thematic to have gated roles in a setup where a significant subset of the hats (two already that we know of) act as gates of one form or another. Yes this is mod spec

2. Cop's not really a singularly powerful role in a setup like this where unknown modifiers apply to it every night making every result questionable

3. Claiming gated is a handy way for scum to avoid giving results or explaining why they're still alive

Also, the possibility of you getting an Even Night Hat seems ambiguous as to how that would be handled. Would you be an Even Night (Odd Night Cop) unable to use your power, or an (Even Night Odd Night) Cop able to use your power on both nights? Have you asked the mod about this scenario? If not why not?

2. I doubt there's a hat specifically to counter my one role. Like putting paranoid as a hat for example really just opens up possibility for a game blowout by random chance with no real added benefit from a mod standpoint. Ungated Cop is ridiculously powerful

3. I mean, I don't see how this is significantly different than ungated? Scum keep me alive and lock me down woth rbs regardless of gate because we are a mislim slot. Like the reasoning for why I am alive and not giving the results is the exact same.

4.Just wouldn't work is my guess. Can't act on even or odd nights. Same as anyone else picking up an Even Night hat while acting on an odd night

also, Imag tearing into BB below, combined with the fact both claimed strong investigative PRs, makes me think it is very very unlikely that Imag/BB are SvS. Which in turn makes me want to not vote there today, as at least one of them are town.

My reasoning for this:

If BlueBunnies was roleblocked, the roleblocker would have seen that the roleblock succeeded.

Therefore the roleblocker would know their hat is likely a good one to use again

And they're the only two who've picked the same hat again.

BB may be scum of course, or may have been hat-blocked (eg by an Ascetic hat on their target) rather than roleblocked. But I still think this is worth noting

I will say though that I think imaginality's point about repeat hats is a good one, if we work under the assumption that BB is Town and was blocked for real.

Gamma and Andante are both slots I've been independently suspicious of as well, so I think I'm down for either of them.

I misunderstood an aspect of mech related to my role/hat and so pretend this post did not occur, and treat it as null.

Although HIS lack of any sort of reply to it does suck!
