Mafia Listmod Search Fall 2025 (App Deadline Noon EST, Nov. 1st)

With Ausuka having retired, there is now a new opening within the Mafia List Moderation team.

We are chiefly in search of a new Normal Queue listmod, who can immediately step into the shoes of Ausuka in running that queue and the associated Normal Review Group. That said, all applicants who believe they would be an asset for the Moderation Team are encouraged to apply, even if you don't feel you would be a perfect fit for Normal Listmod.

Users are encouraged to create a fresh application to insure it reflects their most up-to-date information. Users who feel their old report still remains their best representation, however, may send me a message here or on Discord telling me they want to re-apply and use their old application and I'll transfer it over to this search. All other users interested in joining the Mafiascum Mafia Moderation Team, please fill out and submit the following questions to me either via PM or on Discord (anixtheory):

General Questions:

1. What does your typical weekly and yearly schedule look like? Other listmods can "cover" for VLA listmods, but overall the key to successful listmodding is consistent presence.
   
2. Why would you make a good listmod?
   
3. How many games have you modded?
   
4. How would your approach differ from other listmods, if in any way?
   
5. While mafia discussion and policy does not always lend itself to innovation, we are always looking for ways to improve our site. If you could devote resources to one personal project during your time as moderator, what would it be? Feel free to be as specific as you'd like!
   
6. This application is primarily intended to recruit a Normal Queue Listmod. What experience do you have with Normal games? What experience do you have with the Normal Review Group? Is there anything specific about the Normal Queue or Normal Review Group you would want to change?
   
7. Since sanctions, particularly in mafia, typically escalate at a standard rate, record-keeping is a critical part of the job as a listmod. Would you have the time and energy to make sure reports are recorded in the proper threads efficiently? Would you have the time and energy to make sure most reports are resolved in around 3 days and all reports, save for those with special circumstances requiring a delay, are resolved in 7 days?
   
8. While less public, participation in discussions about reforms and new policies backstage, especially those that impact the Mafia forums, are no less of an important duty of a Mafia List Moderator. Would you be comfortable, willing, and able to regularly contribute to those discussions, as they arise? Would you be comfortable, willing, and able to participate in implementing any resultant policies, including but not limited to writing up proposed language, editing drafts, publicly posting it, and explaining it as required?
