Seems like having a stagnant reading method is par for the course for villainous, based on the back and forth with Blue.
First read of the game just came in Gamma is town. And now if she’s Scum I look like a clown.

Is there anything relevant to this game in this argument, or are you just slinging mud?

Part of it is just me being peevish with the general practice, part of it is me trying to needle you into rationalizing it, if it’s a conscious decision.

I think I'm justified in having a scum read on you until you do something that isn't more beneficial to scum than to town. It might be a personality thing from you that I'm picking up on, but in this case I have a pretty tight PoE and you make a lot of sense as scum with my other top scum read. So I'm happy calling you scum.

Gamma, I think Villainous is often putting pressure for the sake of getting reactions. I am not a big fan of the method myself when I often want to reply “I already answered this a few posts above”.

But I guess that’s a way for him to reaction check people so I’ll have to live with this and focus on checking his alignment …

In particular he did this as town to me twice in the last two games we played together. In the second game, when he thought I was scum, he stopped trying to find me and pushed for me to get limmed based on m*ta reads. So I don’t believe him doing this proves he’s scum. (It does not prove he’s town either as he’s maybe faking his own m*ta).

The game is a bit stagnant and I can’t make up my mind if Bat gave up or got caught.

(Realised I forgot to hit submit while taking a break)

I think in this case it’s warranted. I brought up a concern I had about your treatment of two slots and you only addressed your treatment of me.

I mean, my treatment of Blue is pretty different than those other two games, one of which had scum!Blue and the other had Blue intentionally mimicking elements of his scum game because he rolled the same role he had fake claimed in the previous game with a similar player list. So I don't know what you want me to say, other than you maybe need to read more carefully. If you want me to engage with you in a positive way, you could try not being rude about it. You're the one who is widely suspected, the onus is on you to convince us that you're town. Instead you're taking this weird position of attacking me for things irrelevant to this game, and I just don't get how that benefits you as town.

V1.9 - Final

Janija - Old Macedonian Stew

This stew originated in the days when stews were cooked in covered clay pots nestled into the coals of a dying fire. Variations of this stew and cooking technique can be found in many regions that were absorbed by the Ottoman Empire, including the Balkans. Clay pots will crack if heated too fast or at too high a temperature, making them the perfect vessel for cooking a slow stew today on a stovetop. Vegetarian, beef and chicken stews are most common in Macedonia. The beef or chicken is browned first. Then onions and bell pepper are sauteed in the same pot. The meat is returned to the pot along with carrots and a tablespoon or so of tomato puree. Once the meat is tender, the last vegetables to go into the pot are cubed potatoes along with some grated potato, which will thicken the broth. Janija is generally not heavily spiced. Some recipes call for only salt and pepper. Others include garlic and paprika.

V2.0
Day 2 Begins!

Day 2 is dedicated to African stews!

Image

"Doro Wat is traditionally made very spicy. Super spicy. Like I-don’t-know-how-Ethiopians-have-any-taste-buds-left spicy. Western adaptations are still spicy, but quite tame compared to the real deal." -- Kimberly Killebrew, Daring Gourmet

Doro Wat -- Spicy Ethiopian Chicken Stew

Ethiopian Wats (Stews) call for spices and ingredients that are almost impossible to find in the United States unless there is a vibrant Ethiopian community nearby. Some of these hard to find spices are better skipped than substituted, and some have acceptable substitutions. Berbere is an Ethiopian spice blend that calls for Ethiopian chili pods, along with several more common spices. Indian wrinkled chilis are a good substitute for Ethiopian chilis, but for the right level of heat, some dried habanero or ghost chili are needed, too. Niter kibbeh, Ethiopian clarified butter requires some hard to find Ethiopian spices including korarima, besobela aka Ethiopian sacred basil, and kosaret aka Ethiopian clarifying spice. Korarima are Ethiopian brown cardamom pods with a much stronger, darker flavor than green cardamom pods. While these pods can be nearly impossible to find, Indian black cardamom pods are a great substitute. Kosaret is a verbena variant. The flavor is a subtle mint plus citrus flavor. The stew itself includes chopped chicken thighs, onions blenderized into a chunky puree, minced garlic and ginger, Tej (Ethiopian honey wine), chicken stock and hard boiled eggs. Doro Wat and other stews and curries are served with injera bread, a soft, spongy pancake-like bread made with teff flour. The injera takes the place of eating utensils. You tear off pieces of injera and use them to scoop up and eat the stew. Some of the cooking and preparation techniques remind me of Indian dishes found on the east coast of India.
