Mechanics

Days last 72 hours, nights last 24.
Days may optionally be skipped by voting skip day. This requires 75% of the vote.
Last wills are allowed. A last will is a message that gets displayed when you die.
Suicide allowed. This is a non-roleblockable/healable action that kills you at night. You have to explain to me how it’s in your faction’s interest for you to suicide.
The Scum teams are allowed to use both their factional ability as well as their own role’s ability.

Game may be played with anonymous accounts, in which case, the following apply:

-signups will be only via PM to the mod/co-mod (if applicable)
-forbidden to hint/hunt for the other player identity behind the anonymous account
-forbidden to claim your actual identity
-Disguiser/Android will become possible roles/alignments

Usual rules around alts/anon accounts will apply, subject to the mod’s preferences of course.
Plurality with majority w/ Trial: upon reaching majority (or at the end of the day), top-voted players are put on trial for an additional vote.
In addition, self-voting is not allowed.
Trial Explanation

A trial starts with an 8 hour defense, during which only the defendant may speak. Afterwards, there are 16 hours for players to cast their vote - innocent or guilty. The vote system used during a trial is pure plurality, with the caveat that if the entire game votes, the trial ends, and the votes are counted. The voting phase always lasts at least 4 hours. Ties are counted as a vote for acquittal.
A tie between two or more players pre-trial will be resolved via RNG. Only one of the players will be put on trial.
Trials may extend the day by up to 24 hours if necessary, to ensure the trial lasts the complete amount of time.
The player put on trial is not allowed to vote during the trial.

Our only feedback is to consider either not using color tags or to put feedback and role PMs in colored tables or to use color tags but avoid white, yellow, and black

If Captain recruits Path, what exactly prevents them from outing their previous team?

What exactly tool they have against Captain if can't be converted?

Path can’t be recruited. Path dies if Captain tries to recruit them.

So basically Captain can only recruit VTs. There should be a limit to the number of times the captain can use their recruit ability to prevent snowballing. Same thing applies to Path.

Thinking of saying, Path can recruit up to 5 players (as in up to 5 players may be Path, dead or alive). Limit increased by one for every dead Pather.

I think NK included.
Oh you’re right.
I forgot about the Any slot.
Hmm
Maybe it shouldn’t spawn killers at all. Seems kinda anti-Town to have a Cult and a Killer

Some thoughts on how certain roles apply, if anyone wants to mod this later:

Town Janitor should NOT claim and should NEVER use their role (obviously). Claiming allows a possible Redirector or Controller to actually sanitize people. Which is bad. Probably best play is to claim VT.

Drug Dealer - gives fake feedback - can be used by both Town and Scum. Scum is obvious, Town Drug Dealer’s main purpose is to confirm themself as Drug Dealer by giving impossible feedback, or rather feedback which is normally almost impossible to receive. Like saying you investigated yourself and found yourself to be Drug Dealer. ONLY possible if there’s an Operator or a Bus Driver, and you’d receive feedback about that, and you wouldn’t see yourself as Drug Dealer anyway.

Most roles can be of either Town, 3rd Party or Scum alignment. So Role Cop finding a player to be a certain role does not confirm that player as a specific alignment for most roles.

I might drop the Cult setup, it definitely needs reworking. I’ll have to think about it.

Changes I plan on making; on phone and editing a huge setup on phone is nauseating:
Spoiler: Changes

Add Bartender (Drug Dealer) role. Can be of any alignment, gives fake feedback of players choice.

Add Janitor. Sanitizes a player preventing their role and alignment from flipping.

Rework or remove Cult

Possibly add a second Mafia faction called Sindrian Diktat. Identical to Pirates, but cannot win with them. Add dedicated 2v2v2v9 setup for them

Add 13p version with only Mafia and Town. 4 hidden Town, can be PR or VT. Mafia can only be PR. 10v3.
