also I don't like this as a reaction to buck getting shot at all, I think it can easily be posturing on a townflip after the fact.

no I was opposed to the buck flip for meta and personal reasoning, I am a low poster ( have been working on it but used to be as bad as buck if not worse) and have made a point of never using post count as an AI indicator, unless it is also paired with a meta read that they usually post significantly more, or by post content.

I did not comment on that because well it had already been said, and I don't like posting redundant thoughts/reads (which I should probably change so that I can be more present/sort able).

but overall I still fail to see what has been gained by flipping buck, they were low content and now it seems we are just gonna flail at every response to it as a scum or town claim not a difference of opinion or play style.

other than derailing conversation about buck as today's lim, we still seem to be exactly where we were before the flip, no assortatives with the flip (not enough posts).
so I just don't see the argument for this being a productive kill.

however I do get the enthusiasm of the legendary day vig and still town lean IT for the shot and understand wanting to have fun in a bastard game, but I don't see how it helped town at all.

I havent said anything about quality. you can see why its suspicious when someone does nothing to interfere with something and then goes 'oh gee why did we do that' after the fact. can you see why its suspicious? do you have empathy for how this comes across?

I'm glad my reads are lacking consistency, after all I'm an uninformed townie trying to work a game of mafia out, not the laws of physics. I don't need nor do I strive for consistency. I appreciate the push though, its townie.

because ok. fiend begins the game by claiming survivor. which fiend wasn't. but it was claimed with such confidence, they were really selling it, saying they'd win with whatever team and stuff like that. but let's go first with 'can this role even exist here?'

for this role to exist, the mod put something where, if fiend does hit three nontown players with their response, win and leave the game, then the entire game will be more or less ruined by it because fiend could easily just spill what their response was. to have that, and then have that player becoming a vanilla townie if they miss, is one thing. but why was fiend even selling survival in the first place? why can't fiend just see the role as 'basically VT but I get to make a guess and win first' instead?

to be clear I don't think fiend is groupscum because it doesn't make sense. however, considering the troll roles... maybe the role I have is meant to be a troll role as well, which means we don't necessarily have a scumteam. I still think we do... but when we don't, I think revisiting fiend might be healthy. I can't speak for how fiend is playing reads wise because I do townread them which makes me feel that if they're still 3p, they're doing all of this alone. but when we're running out of options to flip, this becomes one.
