He was saying he was "confirmed town" because sam said "stark is town, I guarentee it." That is the joke...

Ok, let me just say this one more time. It was a running thing at Starkadium, the meet from last summer (which is why both me and TSQ got the joke, as you can see from looking back at the page.) Quagmire (at first; other people did it afterwards) would just declare two people to be town, right at the start of a game, and keep insisting they were confirmed for the rest of the game. It was really strange, and funny, but oddly effective, actually. (The first few times Quagmire did it, he actually first claimed scum and then said "Ok, I'm scum, and I'm going to now confirm for you guys that both Ether and Shea are town." Really amusing.) That's what Stark was doing here. (By the way, the PFFFTTT thing TSQ did was also a running theme from Starkadium).

Now, I'm not going to say it's a town tell, or anything, but it is totally irrelevent of alignment; and Stark only started referencing that because TSQ made that Starkadium reference anyway.

The other point you made was about the bandwagon, but, meh; I was under the impression that the first Stark wagon was about him lurking, and the current one is about the "confirmed" thing, so I don't think it's too unreasonable for him to say that he's being bandwagoned because of the confirmed thing.
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie

So... stark made a comment which might have been a joke. Someone asked him to elaborate. And what did he do? He quoted his post together with sam.samhorn's post. That doesn't fit with the idea that his first post was a joke based on some witty banter that happened Feb. 12.
Dear Santa,

This year, I've tried to be a good boy. I've done all my chores, and I've only lied once or twice. I've been working hard, and I got an A on my last spelling test! Isn't that great?

This year, if you don't think it'd be too much to ask, could you kill Xythl for me? He's mean and humorless, and I don't think that's very nice. He's also trying to get all the other kids to vote for me, which isn't very nice either. I will be willing to put off the pony for a year or two if you can just do this for me.

What kind of cookies do you like?

Happy Holidays!,

Seriously?

My intention was to put a vote on him in one post and take it off the next. We're
two days
away from deadline. Unless a) no one posted from now to deadline or b) a meteor fell on my head between when I voted Yos and when I unvoted him (which was a span of 5 minutes), I think we were going to be fine.

Yosarian has me mostly convinced... Qwints is scummier. Plus I would like to encourage him to actually get in the game.

I am very against a no-lynch, though. You can count on me for the hammer.

I am very V/LA until Tuesday.

I'm not likely to have time to post again before deadline - one post at most.

Stark wagon isn't going to lead to lynch. Has case is better than qwints case, IMO.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to finish my summary by the end of the day. I'll aim to get the last couple of people done day 2. Hascow's play for the last few pages has been strange to say the least. The way he has attacked the most minor things people have done this game doesn't make sense to me. Can someone with a meta on him confirm whether he usually attacks like this or not.

I'd like to see his claim before I put him on L-1. Whatever happens I'll try and be back on tomorrow to vote and prevent a no-lynch.

There is no reason for the starkwagon to have lost steam like it did.

Hascow, can you claim in a hurry so that we can go back to lynching stark?

Yes.
Um. :?

Why'd you cross out the word "only" if it's a scumtell?

But if you think he honestly EXPECTED that people would take it seriously and posted it anyway, how is THAT a scumtell?

Let's break this down. He has a joke. People will probably take it seriously. What's the expected result? Suspicion. Why would any non-jester role purposefully attract suspicion. And why would scum specifically do it? Or do you think he had another motive for it aside from attracting suspicion?

Basically, I don't follow you here.
I think we've just established that a lot of people will give anything a free pass if they think it's a joke. If he could get the votes off him long enough for another bandwagon to build, and then later wave it off as a joke, that would be pretty good for him. Worst case? Some people unvote him and then revote, and everyone else says "it was just a joke, it's not scummy".
I disagree. If I say "I'm scum haha just kidding", nobody is going to call me town for it. They are going to go, "Why the hell did you need to say that" and I'd probably get a few votes for it.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the Cow. The only meta I have on him is an ongoing game. :(

Seriously, he is jumping on NOTHING. But it's so much of nothing that he can't honestly expect people to follow him. Maybe he's trying to look like he's contributing. And his case on me came out of nowhere just as he was being attacked. If the Qwints lynch won't happen, I can get on this one.

This could just as easily be a scum power role as a town power role. While flavor meta does suck, your role having to do with the Spanish Inquisition doesn't help convince me you're town.
