I played the 4:12 nighless vanilla game. I loved the game and felt it was well balanced.

Standard nightless games found by searching for "Nightless" in Little Italy and New York:

• Open 6 (4:8; town win)
  Open 19 (4:8; town win)
  Open 79 (4:8; I think this was the game Farside was talking about; town win)

So I'm really not getting the need to further handicap the scum.

Yup it was 4:8 my bad. Still very fun game. I even as shaft stated was accused of people wondering if I was bussing my scum buddies when I was town.

I'm looking through the old open setup discussion thread for setups worth review; a setup that springs to mind as something that should be explored is Crush.

If you need suggestions for set ups to confirm, please talk about some form of Friends and Enemies

Tweak it if you have to, but it's clearly the set up that was closest to the "run 3 times" rule used to originally pick set ups (it was run twice in Open Games as is, and twice more with various tweaks, and it was based off of a slightly different set up run by Thesp before the Open Queue existed), and it's clearly a set up that adds something to the approved games list that isn't already there.

Someone send me a PM on Saturday reminding me that I need to adjust the procedure here/poke people/scrap this/some combination of the three.

This was done so no broken set ups were placed in the open queue. I personally would like to see new and exciting games besides the one's here but I feel neutered with waiting on the approval.

Even if we don't change the process itself, one thing I could see this group doing is reviewing completed games to see which worked and which didn't (and why), to give feedback to the List Mod. I'm also curious what process farside is using for selecting games (haven't discussed it with her in a while).

A lot of the games I have picked have been run before and are on the wiki. Those that are new that have not been tested I talk about the game it's points and how it looks balance wise to others before giving it the college try.
I don't use too many of the new ideas till there has been more thoughts, points or questions on the game it's self.
I actually would like to have people I can bounce games off of just to see their views and the Open thread request doesn't do that as well.
