Actually, that isn't completely true. If an Aes Sedai with a cop ability investigated a player and received a scum result, I'm fairly sure they could hammer the next day.
Also, the Aes Sedai should NOT claim unless they feel they absolutely need to...that's part of the reason that the town lost last game was because of power roles prematurely claiming.-

If the game works the same as the last game, yes, that should be how it works. The Three Oaths are a major mechanic...people should definitely read over them and make sure they try and understand game-related nuances they will cause.Albert B. Rampage wrote:
So you're saying that if an "Aes Sedai" tries to hammer someone that they're not sure are scum, the vote will not be counted?Seraphim wrote:We can use this to test Aes Sedai claims, however. That's the best policy.
If that's what it is, I approve of the strategy.-

Dude, do you know how stupid and completely pointless to start that again is?
I think it should be obvious that those bound by the Three Oaths do have the town win condition...therefore making it pointless to do that.
FoS: MacavityLock
It didn't work last game, why did you expect it to work this time? The mod would never had made such a glaring loophole.-

You're right...it can't hurt.
However, that doesn't make it any more useless. We already know the scum will probably be able to lie. It seems like you're scum who just wants to look pro-town by making a useless call to declare townness.
Also, I have the town win condition and do not win any other way.-

I suggest less role and set-up speculation and more scumhunting.
Shadow Knight, I have no idea why you're so panicked. No one should suggest that the Aes Sedai massclaim nor should the town force any players to make statements that out power roles.
I couldn't tell you why, but this post seems to reek to me of "Oh, shit, I'm scum, quick, come up with something town to say without implicating myself!" I want to hear more from Fabian, please.xxFabianxx wrote:The scum know who the other scum are, and because of that it isn't difficult for them to work out who the Aes Sedai are through process of elimination if people are asked to tell the truth.
IF we must force people to answer questions, we need to stop asking stupid questions like "Are you scum?".
I'm not smart enough to come up with decent questions though...
ML, you've gone down in suspicion but I still think making the statement is pointless. Shadow Knight reeks to me right now as he seems to be pushing a bullshit attack against ML, saying that saying we're town is somehow anti-town...
Not really. The point being made is that this probably won't actually out anyone.Shadow Knight wrote:The only thing that asking the entire town to say a certain phrase will accomplish is to out any Aes Sedai that are here.
Agreed on the first part but I seriously don't see how this will out power roles. You also seem VERY sure that the scum can all lie.Shadow Knight wrote:This is not only a waste of the town's time, it can lead to outing town power roles while learning nothing about the scum. This is inherantly anti-town.
This point is actually valid and I understand your concern. However, it's extremely unlikely that the town will intentionally try to out the Aes Sedai. This is simply to out roles that may not be town and cannot lie.Shadow Knight wrote:Its rather simple. Just because the sentence NOW doesn't out power roles or Aes Sedai, it doesn't mean that a sentence in the future won't. Starting down this path of "lets make everyone say the same thing" will only out the people who can't lie (Aes Sedai) later. How can you not see that?
Read the books, man. Aes Sedai are very sneaky.Shadow Knight wrote:@Seraphim- and you don't think it will be a little obvious when players start side-stepping questions?
This isn't a Tar game. I don't expect to be fucked over by saying that we're all town unless you can think of a flavor reason. I frankly can't think of any sort of role that would win in that fashion...hasdgfas wrote:I feel like you don't understand possible consequences of the whole town saying a certain phrase. Yes, it was tried, and it didn't work. Why would he add something to screw people up with something that didn't work last time?hasdgfas wrote:

I just think this kind of speculation is pointless unless you can come up with a flavor reason for this. Less speculation and more scumhunting please.-

Fist of Trollocs role would be awesome.Mod: Put that in the next game as that would be amazing.
Anyway, Fabian...that was probably the most retarded claim I have ever seen. Not because I don't believe it(which I do) but because it was seriously premature.
Unvote
Vote: Albert B Rampage
Going with Flay on this one. Opportunistic jump onto and off of the bandwagon. I'm willing to let Fabian live. Also, fuzzy...I'll keep an eye on Fuzzy. But ABR is a lot worse right now.
Expect more content later, just needed to get that out there.
Also, fuzzy either hasmod erroror a doublevoter on his wagon.
Next game.... right... got it... And I did not make three mistakes in that post.-

Let me clarify...Shadow Knight wrote:I don't agree. A live townie is a townie we need. I don't know how this theme is going to work with cops and such, but we can always check him later. Did insane people automatically become darkfriends?
In the last game, the male channeler eventually went insane and became an SK the more he used his power. Also, this marks the second time that I've outed the male channeler in almost the exact same way.
In the last game, we were forced to kill him because it required two Aes Sedai to gentle...and one of them already had claimed, forcing him to protect himself from attack.
I say we see what tomorrow brings...but I would much rather lynch the obvscum ABR.-

Alright, Spyre, I don't think we need to lynch you if you stop using the One Power. Clearly, you've already gone insane but that doesn't mean you're an SK yet. If it's a time thing like in the books, you clearly won't become completely mad until later. If it's how often you use the power...well, that's bad.
However, I still think that we should allow whatever to play out. Scum got an easy D1 lynch while still looking town back in the old game. I say we lynch scum today and see what happens in the morning.-

Right now, it's a waste of a lynch. Especially Albert B Scum is standing right in front of us.Knight of Cydonia wrote:Except in the mini he would have become un-NKable, correct? I see four possibilities:
Kairyuu is town. Isacc is town.
Kairyuu is town. Isacc is scum.
Kairyuu is scum. Isacc is town.
Kairyuu is scum. Isacc is scum.
We can eliminate the third possibility because it's illogical.
Kairyuu is town. Isacc is town.
Kairyuu is town. Isacc is scum.
Kairyuu is scum. Isacc is town.
Kairyuu is scum. Isacc is scum.
Therefore, if we lynch Kairyuu and he flips scum, Isacc cannot be town. However, if we lynch Kairyuu and he flips town, Isacc could still either be scum or town.
If we lynch Isacc and he flips town, Kairyuu cannot be scum. However, if we lynch Isacc and he flips scum, Kairyuu could still either be scum or town.
Not sure what to make of it, honestly. Still catching up but I think lynching Isacc is probably the right play today.-
