Rules:


1) Mod is God.

-God is all powerful.
-If you wish to argue/point something out, do so by PM (with the exception of faulty votecounts).

2) Voting.

-Votes must be bolded, followed by the player name. For example,
Vote: Jebus

-Unvotes must be bolded, and are needed to vote someone else. Player names are not required. For example,
unvote

-Votecounts will be edited on to the first post of each page. If it's not there yet, that means I haven't gotten online to do it yet, or that a cutscene (such as Lynch) has occured.

3) Deadlines.

-Day deadlines go as follows: Three weeks with more than 15 players alive, two weeks with more than 7 players alive, and ten days with seven or less players alive.
-Night deadlines are always four days.
-Deadlines are always at 1:00 GMT (That's 20:00 EST, or 17:00 PST)
-Deadlines dates are for my own timezone (EST) - so the 1:00 GMT is really the day after what I have posted.
-Deadlines are flexible by up to one day, depending when I can get on. The deadline does not officially occur until I post the end of they day lynch (or no-lynch) scene.
-When a deadline is reached with no majority of votes, a no-lynch occurs.
-Extensions can be requested, and will be given based on the situation.

4) Prods, Replacements, and Inactivity.

-With more than 15 players, prods are by request only. To request, post
Prod: Playername
, bolded so I see it.
-With 15 players or less, not posting for three days gets a prod, unless the player makes note of the inactivity ahead of time (bolded).
-Three prods gets a player replaced, unless no replacements are available.
-Replacement order is flexible. Unless requested otherwise, inactive players will be replaced in order of who made it to the replacement list first.

5) Outside the Game Topic.

-No discussing outside the game topic, unless I specifically tell you to.
-No discussing ongoing games. You can still discuss games that have ended, though I'd prefer not.

6) Sportsmanship.

-You signed up to play. Play to win, don't ruin the game for others.
-Games are for fun. Have fun, don't be a jerk please.
-Speak English please.
-Don't try to outguess the mod - you'll always guess wrong.
-You know the rules. If I forgot anything, please say something. Intentionally using the lack of a rule I may have forgotten to your advantage (aka - a loophole) is an auto-modkill. Again, play fair :wink:

7) Misc.

-No special text, other than bold or italicized text, is allowed. This means no colors, size changes, or anything of the sort.
-Green is my color. Using this one is worse than using any other color.
-If you have the ability to edit posts, please DON'T.

8) Punishment

-Warnings for minor infractions, Modkills for major infractions.
-Two warnings is a modkill.
-Warnings/modkills are non-debatable.
-Warnings/modkills are given based on the situation.





Make note of the Order of Operations for night actions:

1 - Roleblocks
2 - Protections
3 - Misc.
4 - Kills
5 - Investigations

Also, the town win condition, which is generic: Town wins when all threats to the town are gone.

An average night went by yet again with not an abnormal sound to be heard - the traffic still sliding by, the city lights flickering as usual.

You wake up in the morning, and walk outside to the common as is your daily routine. In the morning light, you spot a corpse, with a note sticking out of the pocket. It's the handwriting of Jebus - reading "the mafia has come..." The rest is illegible.


Jebus, the random NPC, is dead.


Do something about it! Get on with it! (And good luck)

Deadline rule has been fixed, check it out in the first post. This due to a major mistype I just realized I made when I had typed up the ruleset :oops:

Note: Effective at the beginning of Day 2, this does not effect Day 1 at all. Deadline for D1 is still June 12th.

The town was ready for a good sleep after a long and stressful day. Unfortunately, there's no rest for the weary when the mafia comes to town...

Mod Cutscene 2


The first night of the known presence of the mafia was going swimmingly - not an odd sound to be heard, just the average nighttime traffic. All was well, as the city drifted to sleep.

In a back alley, Alvinz95 was walking to his neighbor's appartment, he had recieved a call to the job late that night. He hardly took three steps into the alley before a shadow turned upon him - a big, hulking frame stood above him. A young man was running by. All he saw was a pool of blood dripping our of the alleyway. He let out a shriek, and then noticed the body, cut to pieces.


Alvinz95, a doctor, was slashed Night 1.


Elsewhere, Zwetschenwasser was sitting in the town common, a pair of binnocculars on hand. He took a bite of his doughnut, and then looked back at his target, Tarhalindur - only to see that he had disappeared. A gunshot sounded, and a hole was put through his head.


Zwetschenwasser, a watcher, was shot Night 1.


His attacker, Tarhalindur, walked past him with a scowl. Zwetschenwasser didn't know what he was dealing with. He heard a ruffle in the bushes behind him, but before he could turn to look, it was too late.


Tarhalindur, a mafia goon, was ambushed Night 1.


killa seven followed close behind, shocked at the outcome of the horrific scene - he had to tell someone. He ran towards the police station, but before he could make it out of the common, he was stopped by a large man wearing black.


killa seven, a tracker, was beaten to death Night 1.


Within an hour, the night had gone from blissful to bloody - the mafia's presence was beginning to hold an impact.


It is now Day 2. With 23 alive, it takes 12 to lynch.

Also, with three to replace, I can't really hold off on the deadline too long waiting for a replacement - they seem to be hard to come by.

However:
Deadline has been extended to Wednesday, July 8th.


Please note - I will be gone with what seems to be no internet access from the 5th of July to the 11th of July. Llamafluff will come in and write the lynch/transition-to-night scene, but you should
still send your night actions to me
. Deadline for night will be July 12th.

After that, I'll be gone from the 14th of July 'till the 28th of July, where the possibility of having any access to internet is very slim - Llamafluff will be taking over for that period as well. That's all I've got to say for now.

Mod Cutscene 4


The sun slowly slid over the city silhouette, bringing light to a new day. In this new day, you awake to find a body, generically lying on the ground.


Empking's Alt, a Vanilla Townie, was Killed Night 2.


The strangest thing was sitting in the middle of the common now - a pile of poo lay in the main fountain, with a skeleton sizzling on top. The owner of the skeleton had been pushed into a poisonous pile of poo placed precariously by a perfectionist poodle, dissolving on contact. The poodle trotted away with a smug look on its face.

You realize that Zu_Faul is not among the crowd, and quickly place the duck-like skeleton to his person.


Zu_Faul, a Vanilla Townie, was Dissolved Night 2.


You further find another man, who took a bullet to the head. He was still drenched in sweat (and now blood, too) from when he was alive, probably running from his killers.


Devestation, a Town JOAT, was Shot Night 2.


The last body found was beaten to a pulp, covered in bruises. He lay under a grand tree in the common, with no sign of anyone else being around - save for some scratches in the tree itself.


StevieT92, a Hate-Club member, was Beaten to Death Night 2.


Another bloody night went by - with casualties on each side. The mafia had started a war.


It is now Day 3. Deadline is August 2nd. Llamafluff will be taking over for me (again) from now 'till July 29th.

With 18 alive, it takes 10 to lynch.

Hai, I'm back from my V/LA and taking back over for modding. Llamafluff may or may not stick around and co-mod for the rest of the game, at his will.

Since three players are in need of replacement, I shall pretend they are not alive, because they cannot vote (due to inactivity) - therefore, with 15 'alive', it takes 8 to lynch.

EDIT: Also, note, if someone does happen to replace in, or one of the inactive players becomes active, they become 'alive' again.

Mod Cutscene 6(?)


The town discussed endlessly over the matter of a sleeping Acemarksman, and his scummy behaviour in the previous days. He was definitely to blame for some of the killings. Thankfully, he awoke, now played by Shrinehme, to defend himself. His defense was solid, but had one supposed hole - a small line of flavour in his claimed profession. After a more peaceful few hours between twilight and midnight, a shadow moved through the darkness. Slowly, it made its way towards the house of the regular 'ol Kmd. A shot fired, and Kmd lay silent and still on the bed. Blood soaked the sheets.


Kmd, a Vanilla Townie, was Shot Night 3.


Elsewhere, a man walked down an alley. Another shadowy figure appeared, and a shiny object flew threw the air, pinning the man down. A grunt was heard, as the shadow smashed Cateraction's skull in.


Cateraction, a Vanilla Townie, was Beaten to Death Night 3.


The night from there was peaceful - everyone got in their full night sleep, though some never woke up. The mafia were gaining control.


It is now Day 4. With 14 'alive', it takes 8 to lynch (1 to-be-replaced).

Javert - ALL roles had a copy of the town wincon in it, including scum and third party roles. As for replacements, you are one - when I replace someone, I directly quote (copy+paste) the role PM of the person they are replacing, excluding the "confirm via PM" bit. So everyone should have had it in their role PM.

The night was somehow louder than usual. A man in dark clothing started running down the street, seeking his target. A gunshot was heard, and the man fell down. A second figure walked up to the wounded man, with a little chuckle. All of a sudden, the wounded man jumped to his feet, whipped around, and flung a blade at the figure. Unfortunately for him, the object deflected off the figure's gun, which was now pointed at the man's head. More gunshots were heard, and the man fell to the ground, dead.


Kise, aka Batman the Vigilante (and Easter-Egg Townie), has been shot.


*Note - Easter Egg townie is just a random bit of flavour I throw in for fun - while that role may be flavoured, the flavouring doesn't make the role any different from a regular townie (or in this case, vigilante).

Across town, another voice could be heard, in a muffled shout. "Help! Help!" it screamed - or at least, that's what it sounded like. By morning, it was clear what had happened. The body hung from the tree, with its head wrapped in a burlap sack.


The Fonz, a Mason, has been hung.


The town met at the commons - their numbers were starting to dwindle...


It is now Day 5. With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

The town slept well that night - not much had happened the previous night. It was mostly quiet in the city, with nothing but the sound of traffic. However, a more disturbing sight arose when the town woke up and went down to the common. A dead body was found hanging from the same tree that a body was found the day earlier - and this one was only dead for a short while.


Zazier, a Mason, has been Hung.


That tree was later cut down, and discussion on what had happened could be heard murmuring through what remained of the town...

The night, unfortunately, was quite rough - a lot of noise was made, and when the town awoke, two more were found dead.

Earlier in the night, a black figure stalked a man who was sleepwalking through the streets. The man took a turn into an alleyway - the last left turn he'd ever make. A shot rang out, and the black figure disappeared into the night.


Hewitt, a Vanilla Townie, has been Shot!


On the other side of town, a fire raged in the park - albeit a controlled one. It lay beneath a tree, where a man was sitting, neck in the noose, hands bound by rope, and filled with fear. After a short while of being exposed to the smoke, he fainted and fell from the tree - dead.


ryan2754, a Cop, has been Hung!


The day came on - and the town became lonelier still. Only 7 of the 27 residents remained.


It is now Day 7. With 7 alive, it takes 4 to lynch.

It had finally come to this - the group that remained of the town was small and meager, and with only three of them left, they placed their hope in one last lynch - the lynch that rather than saving them, ended up flattening their chances of ridding the mob from the town.

Also, question for Jebus: If I was Town Mason and asked "Are my Mason partners mod-confirmed to be of town alignment?"*, what would have been the response? (If you'd given the response above, I'd have taken that as my partners NOT being mod-confirmed town and claimed that.)

Really sorry, Javert. Still, I'm pleased with how it played out.

I ended up giving the Cult the killing power after I played it out a bunch of times, where town always won. I gave the Cult killing powers just out of curiosity, and the game became a lot more balanced. Which is where said power was derived.

I take into account everything when I balance games. Cross-kills weren't particularly huge in the balancing of this one.

I don't disagree that this was a lot less normal than most normal games. Personally, I hate normal/vanilla games.

Also, if Lowell wasn't inactive and had realized that the Shot kill on Night 5 didn't happen because he blocked Battle Mage, he could have easily picked him off as scum/killing role.

Inactivity in general really hurt the town, overall.

Oh, I remember that now. It was something I'd changed before the game started but after it went through review, because I thought it completely gave away that there was a scum mason. So I changed it to what I said to everyone in this game in order to help out the outmanned mafia team.

Sorry that it happened this way, but I still hope you guys enjoyed this game. It was certainly fun to watch, anyways.
