I think that you two (Popsiclestix and BoomerSooner) have the right to be upset about all of this, but maybe you should make your own thread in General discussion. I don't think that the Newbie sign-ups is the best place to talk about this, or any other threads that you guys have mentioned it in. I hope that Jeep does come up with you two being sepearated people, but until then, could you guys take the conversation somewhere else..? I don't mean to be offensive what so ever...

I have completed more then 5 games and if you go by smoke bandit, then I have been here since Jan. 25th which means 3 months...

Hey I have been thinking, and I was wondering if it at all would be possible for me to mod a newbie game with the help of Phoebus. He has agreed to back me up when needed, and I know that I probably don't have enough experience to do it yet, but here it is mod wise for if you need it.

I have completed a mini on the GL and currently am running another, I am also running Stewies High School Teacher Mafia game at the moment. If you would like for me to wait for more experience that is fine, I just thought that I could be of help and possibly have the chance to Mod a newbie.

Jaguar, I am still alive in 41 yes, but I was just offering to play if you are low on experienced players. Norinel has done it before for a couple people when he is short on the experienced players, I know that he has used me once and Meme as well. Don't forget that I also modded another south park mini on the GL along with the games already mentioned by Phoebus. If STD wants a more experienced mod though, I would definately recomend Phoebus.

Well, I think the idea is that you need to mod two other games before you mod a newbie. It's up to Norinel if he wants to let you mod one or not, if he does let you you'll need a co-mod, and if it's cool with the both of you, I'm always one to offer any help.

I can't remember where it was discussed (probably mafia discussion or site ideas), but the idea came across that since newbie games seem to be pretty much played out in the sense cop comes out day 2 and such, that maybe it should be mixed up a bit.

That's where the idea of having 4 possible setups came to mind, and one would be chosen at random. No one is required to do this as a mod, but I know that Meme, MoL42, and myself are currently experiencing with this. If you want to try it, then go for it .. Here is the plan:

a) 2 mafia, 1 cop, 1 doc, 3 townies (as most are currently)
b) 2 mafia, 1 cop, 4 townies
c) 2 mafia, 1 doc, 4 townies
d) 2 mafia, 5 townies

You could do what MoL42 is doing and make it open, or just pick one at random and not announce which one was chosen. It adds spunk to the game I think. I'm enjoying it.

I do think that it is balanced actually, because when you think about it the other setups are just as much so. No one knows if there is going to be a cop, doc, or anything at that matter. Mafia don't know if there are any townie power roles, so they hesitate to claim one.

You can win in a game with just townies, it's happened before.

Hey Norinel, if you would approve me I would like to run a Newbie invitational of sorts with the new setup idea. It probably would mainly contain regular newbie moderators so that everyone would get a feel, and this time hopefully there won't be a break in the setup since it is chosen at random. It would be nice to show it how it makes the game more interesting.

.. and if someone else wanted to run it, I wouldn't mind playing.

There are 10 players listed and if all of them want to play the game then I wouldn't mind making adjustments to the setup. All these players participate, or have in the past, highly in newbie games both playing and modding.

Obviously it's up to the players and yourself Norinel if this game can go through, but I think that it would be worth running.
