FOS: Fhqwgads
for having a Strongbad reference as a name. Unless you're actually typing with boxing gloves on. Then you're clear.

Also, we should try to save CPs as much as possible. The way I understand it, the mafia have their own points seperate from ours, so trying to intentionally waste them just robs us of investigations or protects (if we have a doc and a cop)

It's not just the scum that are going to be stingy. Any power roles that exist are going to try to conserve for themselves.

Cobalt, it defeats the purpose of the game if you try to break it rather than adapt to the rules.

Seacore wrote:I wouldn't even calling it "breaking" the setup up.

Breaking implies that it's not supposed to be done and will ruin the game if achieved.

I'm talking about finding out what's the best strategy for town. Why is that wrong?
It's wrong because it is trying to break. Instead of trying to play with the rules, you're looking for ways around them. That doesn't help anybody, and could easily lead to the mod just abandoning this.

Cobalt, seriously? If you're not going to play with the spirit of the game, then don't play at all.

Sorry about that one, guys. Internet went down here for a bit. She's a touch intermittent now. They say it should be fixed by Monday, so LA until then.

Sad thing is, I don't even need to catch up. There's been literally two posts since the last time I read this. I did a quick readthrough, and the only thing that jumped out at me was Fifi's play. It's been rehashed a million times, but I still don't like the original bad idea, then the AtE/newbclaim.

Awesome flavor. Does this also put Fifi at L-1? If so, McGriddle and Cobalt, are you still comfortable with this plan?

Here you go,
Vote: Pops

I still disagree with this plan until it actually results in a scum lynch, which this almost certainly isn't.

If we do catch scum today, then more power to it.

This is just annoying. If it wasn't for the fact that this is a game I'm interested in, I'd be replacing out. Breaking the setup this bad defeats the purpose of the game.

Now that that's out of the way, let's just get this day over and done with. I'm so sick of it that it's not even funny.

I won't be replacing out, but I'm still not happy. This isn't the game I signed up for. This is just one player trying to break the game, and a bunch of others following instead of playing a game of mafia.

I probably will. I just think RedCoyote probably planned for this, and so there's going to be some kind of mechanic to stop this from working. I think Pops is scum, and is trying to make us waste points that could go to night actions. What if they have some role that drains 5 CP? Then our doc won't protect, and our real cop won't investigate. Plus, by outing our Commander, the scum only need to NK him and we lose a bunch more CP.

I play this game to win. Whether I agree with the collective decision will have no bearing on my play.

Pops, I think the only issue is if the scum have multiple comanders or some kind of enabler role. I just feel like there are too many variables to make this plan succesful. Town might have issues too if any roles count for 2 CP or more. What if a tracker has to pay as many CP as there are players in the game? What if a Vig has to pay 3 for a shot? What if a cop only pays on a guilty? What if the doc has to pay 2+ however many protects (i.e. Scum NK, Vig shot, SK kill) they have?

I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Also, I'm going camping for the next few days, so V/LA until Saturday afternoon or later

I'm voting in order to give the replacement time to catch up. If he doesn't need it, then we shouldn't extend whatsoever.

Also, Fate, you are very certain that Fifi is not just being frustrated town. Why is that?

Stupid recruiting masonry. Netted one of our Commanders N1, then got both of us killed N2. Really wasn't expecting Cobalt as scum. I thought it was Fate.

Interesting mechanics though. I really think it'd be fun to run again, except this time maybe keep CP hidden from everyone except scum.
