The camn thing looks like fishing. Even if it isn't, the suggestions so far are weak.

DGB, please stop with the sciencelab thing here. It's off-topic.

Sudo getting "Newbie since 2008" seems quite good.
Retired as of October 2014.

Ythan wrote:It makes for a high post count and an iso that's a bitch to read
Yeah, trying to read Ythan in iso is like using a porcupine to sew on a button. Neto said it's an insult title but that was not at all intended, nor do I believe Ythan sees it that way. Otherwise I wouldn't have suggested it. Also, I don't think Ythan's playstyle is anti-town and comparing it to lurking is just wrong. Anyway, it seems like there's enough support for a title related to this habit, but The Hormel Kid is not good enough, so I did some brainstorming this morning and came up with a short list. I won't bother y'all with the whole thing. Instead I'll just revoke the Hormel nom and...

Nominate Ythan for
welcome to the haystack
.

On other topics: I agree that Sudo should get a title based on his ongoing best newbie status but I haven't seen one yet that really stands out to me. Forever Young is my fav so far but I think we can do better.

I don't see it as an insult. It's a true evaluation of the way I play, can't disagree. Also that nomination or some variation thereon is beautiful.

"Newbie Classic"? "Newbier Than You"?
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Don't like the camn thing, as others have said not strong.

Not digging the Ythan titles either.

totally rocks. I dare you to come up with a better one.

Sudo's needs to be better. He's been here long enough to deserve better. Also, he's been in my house, and likely will be again. I can't have people with bland titles in my house. It's on the lease.

I'm kind of eh on Haystack.

Camn's nomination seems...not perky enough. I dunno. It's clever, though.

I would just like to point out at this time that
Teenage Mother
was a much better title for Haylen than that crappy one she ended up with.

To be fair I've never played with Ythan, so all I know of him is from his GD persona. Son of Ythill actually makes more sense to me than any of the other titles proposed.

From my perspective I feel thus about current nominations:

Ythan -
Welcome to the haystack is a good feel, I like it better than any of the others. The spam ones kind of miss the point that while he's posting huge amounts, it's not pointless. I lol'd at Ynslaught but am glad that has been pushed aside.

camn -
Yeah, look, I'm eh on it, but I can see why you feel it title worthy. Maybe if it could be something other than just "I am listening to something" because he listens to things! Get it?

Sudo -
I actually really, really like "Best Newbie" I think I prefer it with "Best Newbie Forever" or something that defines it as a constant. "Best Newbie since 2008" isn't a bad way of expressing it.

Just where I'd like to see things go. Also props to ether for being a minion on the username puns thing.

"The ADD Kid" for Ythan? (That sort of gets of gets the posting lots of little posts idea across, but also feels a bit too mean-spirited.)

Oman, have you approved the deletion of my title? If so, I'd love you ever so much more if you added it to the approved titles in the OP, I wouldn't want to miss out on the next batch that jeep/mith does.
