Are you guys asking me these questions because you have doubts about BV being scum? I'd like to know who is still considering a different lynch. There's still time to try a different lynch and fall back on BV if its not possible if 4-5 people can be online a few hours before deadline hits in 24 hours.
farside22 wrote:Wait, wait, wait. he threated to replace out and in'ed to another game and you find this a null tell? How is this a person that is overwhelmed?
Its a null tell for me based on his lack of appeal to emotion throughout the game. That makes me think he's not the kind of player to replace out for being under pressure, so his busyness sounds genuine.

He initially thought we weren't close to deadline, which matches the excuse that he only needs a week at most away from distractions. A new game starting up is low-priority the first week, so I see nothing wrong with him replacing in when he doesn't have time to play.
farside22 wrote:I see scum flip flop on views of players based on wagon more then town. Sorry I'm not biting this at all.
That's a reasonable tell to stand by most of the time, but in this situation I don't think it fits. He changed his mind in back-to-back posts. Scum would be more conscious of how they're going to change positions, if they do. I think they'd usually want to keep their options open, so his Richard town read doesn't feel like it comes from scum anyway.

The only other vote I would push for today is Pom or dybeck.

Pom seems busy. I don't expect her to respond to the case at hand (she didn't the last time in pyp) and I have concern for opportunism there.
As for dybeck I would need to flesh out a case on him and I don't have time today for it.

Because it indicates that your mind is closed.

Because it indicates you will not be considering all info tomorrow.

Because you help scum know who to avoid tonight (not massively relevant in this case I accept)

Because you create even more WIFOM than normal if one of us gets killed in the night.

If you think that I'm so inexperienced as to be deterred from voicing my suspicions by attempting to make me think that others will think I'm scummy for doing so, you do us both a disservice.

I didnt object to you voicing suspicions. I objected to you trying to set up some kind of lynch (certainly how I read it) on me the next day. There is a big difference.

I assume you have no objection to the four points I actually made seeing as you quote them but dont refute them.

Actually, I don't entirely refute your points.

However, rest assured that my mind is not closed. I hope that we do have some more info to discuss tomorrow - today has been a fairly unproductive Day 1 and a couple of flips will give us a lot more to discuss - and less of a tunneled meander into a shot in the dark.

Your last point is fair. In the event that I do die tonight, I suppose I'll just have to leave it in the hands of town to accord the correct weight to scum's (or vig's) decisions to kill me off. You're absolutely right that any arguments that stem from it are heavily WIFOM. It's clearly not a good enough reason not to voice my opinions, though, of course.

Whoever gets killed tonight is likely to form the starting point for discussion tomorrow - and all those who survive the night will need to weigh it up in context. Nobody here is stupid enough to automatically think "he was killed - his suspicions must have been right!" or "he was killed - must be a mafia trick!"

Seems to be.

Setting up tomorrow's kill on a scum-flip, while being silly imo, isn't scummy.

Setting up tomorrow's kill on a town-flip, is both silly and scummy.

This will almost definitely be my last post in here before deadline, horribly sick right now :(

You seem very confident of being around tomorrow with Javert Sera. Are you scum?

I do mind you holding off, so say anything you can before the deadline.

Given the case on me, I find it very unlikely I will be NKed. Then again, I don't tend to think about being NKed, it's just in my nature. If I do get NKed, the answers to the questions Javert posed me do not matter. So, the questions are only relevant if I am alive tomorrow.

lol, because of a case on you, you think that you won't be nk'd? You had.. what, 3? people on your wagon tops? And that was only after *I* joined in? Yeah, that's sure to keep you from being nk'd if you were town.

It's a good thing you're not town; maybe a vig will see that as well.

Basically:

I started a post, but got all disoriented. I saw a lot of players opting for my lynch, or bv's. Apparently there is a case on me, but I didn't see it yet.

And the deadline is tomorrow, and I probably will have about 10 minutes of internet access until then.

So I'm gonna hammer bv. It seems like the best choice to me definitely.

1.)
Post 845 wrote:Looks like a pre-emptive "I told you so" post.
Then look harder.

A player saying "I told you so" is something claimed when a game is over, not while a game is on-going.

What I said is that I do not like, and I have never liked, the
reasoning
that has been used to lynch bv310. And I don't like the reasoning regardless of whether or not bv310 is town, or if he in fact turns out to be scum.

2.)
Seraphim, I don't see a reason for you deferring answering my questions until tomorrow. Yes, if you die overnight, your answers might not be helpful. But the converse is that if I die overnight, I will not be able to assess or follow up on your answers.
