You are aware that by arguing against your own lynch you are being anti-town right?

Unfortunately, my strategy is not perfect because, as the wiki states, the plan provokes discussion, which once again is detrimental to town, as demonstrated in this game.

Simply by voting for me you guys have already hinted that I'm not the king. Way to help the assassin :P
More discussion = more help for the assassin = lower chances of town winning. Hence quicklynch.

Except you miss the INCREDIBLY GLARING FLAW in the case I rolled a die and the die said to lynch the king. Hence die roll doesn't work. Way to completely not think about this.
So instead I waited for someone to give the green light, pick someone to vote for, and then we could quicklynch.

Just a pro-tip to town: Try to talk less, and don't give so much away to the assassin next time ok? We've already screwed up day one by practically confirming I'm not the king, so please stop making stupid mistakes like this.

I play to win.

The problem with devising any open system of die rolling that is rigged to never hit the king is that the assassin can figure it out too. If you can come up with a system that works, avoids threats on the king and doesn't give information to the assassin, please please tell me.
Obviously I can't volunteer to pick our lynches, hence why I let someone else vote before I did.
RC wrote:That would mean you think the Colonel isn't the Assassin?
It doesn't matter, all that matters is that he is saying things that might help the assassin play better, which is bad.
RC wrote:Do you think the guard unit would never vote the king during the game?
Further discussion along this line of thought will help the assassin determine who is king, which is bad.

No, I'd say that it's just not as optimal a strategy. I'm a perfectionist, I want play as well as possible, and logically speaking the wiki strategy has the best odds for town to win. While there may be nothing wrong with another approach, as I said before, I'm aiming to win as efficiently as possible.

I knew seraphim was confirmed guard, I hope the rest of you caught that after his obvious smokescreen vote.

I don't think the best strategy is to plan out who to lynch by die rolls, it's just to throw votes down and lynch as fast as possible. For example, maybe 3 guards or 2 guards and an assassin just vote for 3 random different people, then everyone else just piles on votes wherever they feel like and eventually just lynch one. This way the majority will never target the king, and you will never have a case where the assassin chooses the king for lynching and gets voted by rest of town.
