Given the locale of a Western Mining town, we have a different set of roles in this one.
This leads to a special activity...
The Showdown:
Anyone, at any time, can CALL OUT another player. (Once per round/day per person though) IF that person ACCEPTS, we have a showdown. High noon, guns blazing, and all that. Both players PM the Mod with
THREE CHOICES
in a rock/paper/scissors format.(example: rock, rock, rock) If we have a winner, the winner has shot and killed his opponent. If we have a TIE, both players are wounded, and have to spend the following day in the hospital. (Meaning they cannot vote)
As far as
DECLINING
a showdown, you can decline any time, as often as you like, but if you decline TWICE, the hard core Wild West village labels you a "Yellow bellied coward" and you lose all voting rights for either a) the remainder of the game, or b) You participate in 2 duels.
Note: Failing to get your PM in to me in a timely manner means YOU LOSE.
IMPORTANT - You have until 24 hours after lynch ends to accept/decline. If you fail to respond to a duel at ALL, you WILL be considered
CALLING OUT - Must be done the day prior to the actual show down. (Example: We have 3 accepted Challenges Day 1. These will be scheduled for 12:00, 1:00, 2:00 the following game day.
ROLES: Obviously there will be werewolves. Standard rules apply. Undetermined number of wolves....unless one of the wolves wants to tell you. I'm not.
Special Roles:
Cornholing Male Gigolo:
Wild West version of a Seer. This character can at night choose one villager to cornhole. The cornholer will then know if night falls and his source of income does not become a wolf. If that person is a WOLF...the Cornholer will be eaten. BUT the body will be found at the house of the wolf he visited, so the village will know.
IF the person he visits is the wolfs target, both the target and the cornholer will be eaten.
Note: If the cornholer cornholes an Amnesia Victim BEFORE the victim learns his role, he will appear as villager, even if he later ends up being a wolf. rationale, the amnesia victim does not know yet he can turn into a werewolf at night, so he does not do so until he regains his memory.
Medic
: One time use power to bring an dead player back. Must be used the following day, and only for the player that was just killed In A DUEL. To use, the power must be used that day BEFORE NIGHT FALLS. Can be more then one. Revived player will awaken the following DAY, and will NOT know the identity of the Medic who saved him/her.
Amnesia Patient:
This player can vote, etc.. but he will not know his role (He can be any of the roles) If he is a wolf, the other wolves will not know, so he can be eaten. Non-role a possibility. AT some point, this player recovers his memory, and is given his role.
Preacher:
This player cannot be challenged. Also, as a very respected member of the community, his vote counts double. There is no penalty for declining a duel, and he is not required to accept/decline.
Bartender:
This player is the Ear of the community, he hears a lot of rumors and roles. This player can learn special, non-wolf roles. Each night a different role player confesses to him over his whiskey...Mod will PM him a special role, and the player. (i.e. Night 1 - ScottyBo is the Medic, N2 - Malice is a cornholer)
Indian Chief:
This player has mystical powers, drawn from the great wolf. He uses these powers every night, and cannot be eaten normally. The only way to kill this character is lynching/showdown, or... HOWEVER, the wolves CAN eat him, however it will cost them the life of a fellow wolf as well. Also, due to discrimination, his vote does not count.
Horse Thief:
BAD GUY ROLE This player has the ability to steal horses/cattle from other players. When this happens, the player chosen is so distressed and worries about his horses that night, if he has a role to play, he is unable to use it. The Horse Thief is not told whether the player had a role or not... (ie Thief just steals Horse and runs off....role player finds out, spends the night weeping over his lost horse) Does NOT know the identity of the wolves, until (if) he tries to steal one of their horses.
Victory Condition: All Villagers dead, Wolves win. All wolves dead, Village wins
