I didn't think your statement was weird. The whole 'this is overly trying to sound town, so probably coming from scum, but no scum would be that obvious on accident on their first post' idea went through my head, but ultimately led nowhere.Jahudo wrote:Weak POE read since they've given the least (no) opinions thus far. I like how Almaster and Sera took an early stand on my weirdness.
Alamaster, did anything like that go through your head, or what?- charter

Seems kind of counter-intuitive if you thought the 'no scum would be that obvious part' but you still thought it was scummy. I'm not following you.AlmasterGM wrote:
Pretty much exactly that.charter wrote:I didn't think your statement was weird. The whole 'this is overly trying to sound town, so probably coming from scum, but no scum would be that obvious on accident on their first post' idea went through my head, but ultimately led nowhere.
Alamaster, did anything like that go through your head, or what?
Including the "but no scum would be that obvious" part, which is why I said it was hard to put my finger on the thought.
Do you think changing your vote constantly is going to make something happen?Seraphim wrote:
Nothing has really happened yet. I have no reason for voting anyone at this point.charter wrote:Seraphim, is there any criteria for your votes? I get the impression you're just voting as much as you can until something sticks.- charter

My thinking was that, in this game, nobody as scum would slip up on accident something that huge and obvious. I felt he posted that on purpose, and while it's totally possible he's scum, I don't see any way to discern his alignment from it, since it wasn't a "slip", just a weird post.AlmasterGM wrote:
The problem with the "no scum would" argument is that, or any argument of its kind, is that if it actually applied, you could never catch scum. The more ridiculous the move the, the more relevant "no scum would" becomes ... but that doesn't erase it from my mind completely.charter wrote:Seems kind of counter-intuitive if you thought the 'no scum would be that obvious part' but you still thought it was scummy. Because I don't post every minor null tell I see. But if someone's going to vote me over this fact, then it becomes prudent for me to post it.Jahudo wrote:charter, why did you decide to keep that opinion to yourself until now?
Not particularly worried since those not voting me know I'm at L-1, so no risk of accidents.Seraphim wrote:@charter: Feelings on being run up to L-1?
Seraphim, have you learned anything from your many votes? If so, what?
I currently am most suspicious of Andrius, since it seems he's checking the thread pretty often though he's doing basically nothing. Andrius, how many games have you been scum in? (rough estimate) I'm getting some pretty strong active lurking whiffs.
unvote, vote Andrius- charter

Well.
No one vote, obviously, but I'm leaning real strongly towards Seraphim, he's basically confirmed my earlier suspicion of mindless voting until something stuck, which it did with Andrius. Sling enough mud around so as not to soil his name. Gonna try and figure out his partner when I get some more time.- charter

Well, I didn't mind the lynch, I was convinced he was scum, though after the fervor has died down, I see it might have been beneficial to wait some. What did it for me what the continued active lurking while acknowledging he was doing it, but what REALLY did it, was after I posted some numbers, he tried to attack the numbers, not the argument.
I'm really seeing no way Seraphim isn't scum here, I'd vote him right now, but I'm determined to learn something from day one. Still need to reread as well.- charter

Alright, reread and scumcatching time.
Post 31, Seraphim defends Jahudo, playing it down a bit.
42, Seraphim puts me at L-1. Not any reason other than "wagon".
Then there's Seraphim's whole playing dumb, 'Charter is at L-1?? Durrr, what do I do?' where he clearly doesn't care there could be a quickhammer for no reason on page two, but then after CKD calls him out on it, and there's no more chance of a "mistake" Seraphim unvotes. Basically, once CKD questions him, Seraphim is real quick to back down.
Seraphim then puts Andrius at L-1, says Andrius is "half assing this game".
To be honest, anyone can be Seraphim's buddy, there's not enough to analyze at all, the only lead I could find is his defense of Jahudo. Could be Alamaster because he did hammer, justified or not, that was a great opportunity he took advantage of if he was scum. Seraphim seemingly doesn't care when people go to L-1 nor does he have any reason ever for putting them there, but when CKD calls him out on it, he backs down, but when there's support, he eggs the lynch on. Extremely opportunistic, and pretty much no interest in finding scum, just voting anyone he can.
I am pretty confident CKD isn't scum, since I don't think he'd be questioning Seraphim so much, since distancing seems extremely risky in this setup. I'm not scum, so that leaves two out of Alamaster/Seraphim/Jahudo. Anyone have anything to say before I vote?- charter

Yeah, I was growing extremely worried that people would come up with a Seraphim/Jahudo scumteam (Alamaster already had and CKD looked like he was working his way there and I had no choice but to go with that after I voted Seraphim) and for whatever reason the plan became 'lynch Jahudo'. I couldn't pretend to go along with it since I'd get cold feet at some point and the jig would definitely be up then. I figured voting Seraphim would shift the decision heavily towards me vs. him and I felt that was our best bet to come out on top.Jahudo wrote:I wasn't expecting charter to lay down the first vote today. We tossed around the idea of a coordinated quicklynch but I guess he wanted to make you choose between him and Sera.
