In the Road to Rome forum there are smaller games of seven specifically to help those who haven't played before to get some practice. This allows new players to get acquainted with roles, the game mechanics and

lulls them into a false sense of security

prepares them for larger games which are much more involved and time-consuming.

Whether this is your first or 500th game, I highly recommend reading the wiki and other finished games to find out about the roles used on mafiascum.

BJ, this doesn't necesarily mean you're scum, but arguing with your accuser (which is not the same as defending yourself, but which) is natural in this game and is not the same as being defensive.

I smell a rat. Just did a search for cowardly reporter and found zip, zero occurences other than references to this game. Looking at the wiki, it takes all of two clicks to get to it. I think Illumina checked the wiki for an appropriate role and found this.

I don't think all of those players should be modkilled. Gonzo, for example, had 34 posts in 650, which gives him the average number in a 20-person game. I think he needs replacing. Swinkee and Nanook, well...OK.

I think BJ's outburst was a lot worse than Zippy's, though a lot better from a literary standpoint. "Fairy f***ing godmother" was particularly vivid.
