The reporter role is pretty powerful if used wisely. If you get a report on a scum, and they don't know it, they're caught if they try to claim townie... Not as powerful as a cop, but if you don't think the scum will want this ability out of the way you're fooling yourself.

I tend to be more suspicious of the townie claims than the paranoid cop one. It seems illogical that in a game with a small number of townies such a large portion of them last to the endgame.
