Any why is he like that? It seems to me that he has made a meta-game decision in order to increase his chances of surviving in all games, whether he's is scum or not. Now, when he's town the impact on him if he doesn't survive is far lower (he can still win if the town lynch scum correctly) than the impact on him when he's scum (fewer scum than town means the loss of a single player is more keenly felt by a scum team).

In my opinion, this meta-game strategy does little to help his team mates when he is pro-town and is mainly designed to benefit him when he is scum. I don't think voting newer players and saying that it's ok to do it because he always does is the right way to go. Instead I would rather encourage Fritzler to return to a more analytical posting style (I have seen this in previous games, so I know he's capable of it) by employing another meta-gaming strategy, that of:

I'm not sure about Fritzler. What I've seen of him in other games makes it seem like he always act suspiciously so I'm a little hesitant to put a vote on him quickly for something so abstract as productivity.

This is what's going on in almost all the games on this board, and I'm really getting tired of it. It's no longer "See who looks suspicious, and lynch based on behavior", it's "Bandwagon until we get a claim, decide if we like it, and either lynch or move on to another claim." There's more to this game than what our roles say.

Looking back over the Twomz lynch yesterday, Fritzler's behavior made me feel funny. His attitude once Twomz had been lynched (but not before day closed) wasn't very protownly. If I had checked in and realized we had lynched a doctor, my reaction would probably be more like Falcone's

Honestly, I didn't believe him. Also, I've seen defenses many times (especially on fbgs) where they're all like at one from lynch, oh good job lynching you're docotr, and then pretend they didn't realize it wasn't lynch. I've seen enough of that, that whenever someone tries to defend themselves like that I don't believe it. I'm sorry, I'm a cynic. Plus leaving a doc alive is weird. On one hand, consider if they're telling the truth, probably killed. What happens if they're not killed? You have to play the wifom game to see if the mafia are not killing them to make you suspect them, and I don't really like WIFOM.

A claim is a valuable piece of information. While it's noble to want to help the town, it also helps the scum. Now that they know you aren't a cop or doctor, it makes it easier for them to find the power roles. Role information should generally be kept secret unless you are about to die (from being lynched.... or in my case) or that you have information that would immensely benefit the town (a cop investigation that turned up guilty, or you roleblocked someone and there was no deaths, etc.) You claimed vanilla townie, which is a highly suspicious claim because it's the easiest for a scum to fake, and you did it when nobody asked you to. Sorry man, but none of this adds up into you being townly.
