Just started a few days ago. Wouldn't have tried without the newb guide in the first post.

The hard parts at this point are:
1. knowing what the long-term things-to-do are
2. deciding how much defense is right - how about building a huge wall around the above ground map?
3. proper labor allocation
4. so many details... some can be researched on the wiki, some can't.

Maybe loading some of the save files from the sucession game will help.
