Could these "probably"s not be explained by the fact that we've only had 6 pages of game play? Does Andrius usually have stronger reads in the early stages as town?Albert B. Rampage wrote:I don't like Andrius for posts like these:

This has a serious flaw. Yes, lynches are our destination. However, you cannot expect an entire town to realize the scumminess of a particular player through osmosis. In order to get support for a lynch, it must have a valid basis and an explanation that others can follow. I, and I assume others as well, have a hard time supporting a case with my vote if that case has not been laid out beyond "Player X is scum".[/quote]Dafish wrote: There is also little reason for me to explain myself, since the only reason one would need to do that is if they needed to be viewed as town.
There is no flaw. Other's can provide the reasoning if needed. Also, some other players probably see the same things I do and do not need to be convinced someone is scum. In this way none of us are sheep, but all independent bastions of town reading situations the same.
As I said, I do not need to be viewed as town for reasons that should be obvious to anyone paying attention.I believe I'm going to take a page out of Kant's book here and suggest that this should be rethought using the categorical imperative. Pro town play is what, if everyone does it, will result in best environment for scumhunting. What you are describing is a style of play that is inherently anti-town, and if everyone followed it, this game would devolve into an essentially random game of probabilities.
Saying that you don't need to be viewed as town is both wrong and will not help us in the long run. If you continue to vote and call people scummy without explanation, then you become infallible. This style is for scum only, and I cannot see any pro-town motivation behind it.
You can continue to get reactions in whatever style you want. You can yell in caps for the rest of the game for all I care. However, when you vote or express suspicion, you need to provide some sort of support.Use your head and think.I'm not asking anyone else to follow my style of play. Not that anyone could, anyway. This is not a mountainous game, and as such, pro-town play should not be followed black and white the same by every player, nor will the definition of what pro-town play is be agreed upon.
For instance the play I am describing is not inherently anti-town at all, and I'm sure others would agree/disagree with that.Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる

Nacho doesn't know if he's basing my "anti-town" play on number/statistical reliance or poor gambits yet. Once he decides what he's going to use for his policy argument, I can tell you which is worse.Albert B. Rampage wrote:

I think I have a more positive town influence than most if not all those players on that list, though. Maybe a couple of years, less so, because I was lynched often, but not now.

I'm staying put with my vote on Andrew for the moment.-

No. The earlier it is, the less you know. Nobody Special is probably scum, for example, is too much of an affirmative statement for this early.Dafish wrote:Could these "probably"s not be explained by the fact that we've only had 6 pages of game play? You've made quite clear why you're using strong language in your response to Dafish.Fate wrote:ABR I said NS WAS scum which is much stronger language.
Only partially.Dafish wrote:ABR, are you voting Hoopla for the assertion you quoted in #157?Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the bastards.-

I could care less about parknourie when Andrius and NS scum are in my sights, and the Andrius wagon SHOULD've been nearing completion.Hoopla wrote:Actually, a more serious vote;

I'm very tempted to follow Hoopla's vote on Park. Park's tunneling seems quite unnatural to me. However, I think Nacho's lurking is just a little too convenient for him, and I'll keep my vote there because nothing has changed there. NS's his play would warrant a policy lynch, I guess... But maybe he'll improve later!
And I'm sorry Fate, but I do not see myself supporting an Andrius lynch. I have never understood the start of the wagon.please, don't kill me.-
