Well if he's scum his partner is either you, or Batt, or ABR, I know that much. Like I said yesterday I don't try to draw positive connections until I have guaranteed information; though I may use process of elimination to help me eliminate possibilities. I want to hear what NS has to say; I want to see how everyone interacts with him; and then I'll make a decision on him and then assuming he's scum I'll worry about his partner at that time.

NS and DDD didn't post a whole lot during the course of this game. There is little to go on with both players. NS in particular looks like he was doing it on purpose, only resurfacing for suprise buttsecks hammertime.

With AGM, there was the apparently last minute cross-bussing interaction right before Empking was lynched.

And finally, there's Battousai, who replaced Newbie2010, who flaked just as the heat coming down on Empking, and thus, the only one left alive today that didn't lynch Empking.

Having iso'd Battousai and come to a dead end due to his slot being MIA during this period, it's now time to look for bussing patterns between the other three for me.

AGM is a bit of an obvious connection like I've said before, but it could be misdirection by Empking. And NS does his no explanation hammer as usual.

Battousai, NS and AGM here, lynching Fate faster than Hoopla had wished. Of course, Battousai was the only one of us alive now with his head on the block after the masons claimed, due to an equal chance of him or LML going down if Hoopla's plan of delaying a Fate lynch would have been approved that day.

And finally in the last mislynch, I'm the only one left alive that voted AGM and not LMP.

Aggregating all this evidence, my scumdar tells me it could be any two of you, with DDD having a lower chance, and Battousai having a higher chance of flipping scum than the others.

This is what I'm seeing here: if scum had gone with Hoopla's plan and agreed with her suspects, they would have had 2 townies lynched back to back if Battousai was town.

But if Battousai was scum, then it would be more profitable for them to immediately lynch Fate and ignore Hoopla. The saying 'one bird in the hand is worth two in the bush' fits to a T here. DDD is innocent of voting Fate and gets a strong point for that, and that makes him unlikely to be Battousai's partner if Batt flips scum.

Well, first, let's examine posting volume. LMP & flinter

thread posts at the time of the lynch -- that's only 4.5 percent. Active lurk much? Yeah.

Secondly: LMP did nothing substantial but sheep other players and push for Hoopla's lynch. Oh, and post lots of fluff.

That's why I hammered. Scummy McScumpants needed to die. (I was, umm, wrong, but, that's mafia. Oops.)


But I'm really sure about AGM. Honest. Really sure this time!

Hmm... I'm surprised NS didn't chalk it up to a miscount and thinking he didn't hammer LMP. Concerning your points on why you hammered

1) You had a total of 32 posts (not including the hammer and today). Last time I checked 33 > 32.
2) Sheeping and believing Fate over Hoopla. Ya, that's not all too scummy.

ABR- If you didn't notice, I unvoted LMP but it was missed. Would I have lynched him? That's a matter of WIFOM until postgame so I'll save it till then.

NS meta- Looking at his completed games (ignoring where he IC'd) I couldn't find anything within the first 25 pages, so I said fuck it and started looking at the last pages (started at 200) so I can find a game where he is not modding.

From those two readings (don't have time to further research), NS actively lurks as town and scum.


On DDD, I have a null read on him from the fact that he hasn't really participated much, but at the same time when he does it isn't scummy like NS.

Then there's the whole NS/Empking connection that seems to indicate a strong pull towards that duo.

ABR- Also, I'm just not seeing why I wanted Hoopla dead more than anyone else. So what if he found me scummy? Just because someone becomes confirmed, they do not become omniscient. I didn't see much of a danger of being lynched, but instead I was more focused on getting FATE lynched for his BS.

Right now, my vote is leaning towards NS.

I guess what's killing me is that he just modded a game I ICed in the newbie forum. There was a succesful scum lynch D2, D3 scum quick hammers, D4 I'm still alive for whatever reason and lynch the quick hammer guy for a town win. Now I can't believe that NS saw that game and would think that quick hammering would be viewed as an acceptable town activity, especially by me. If he's town and lynched then he auto loses. If he's scum and lynched; well, he just went 1 for 1 and he gets his partner to a 3 person LYLO; far from the worst scenario in the world. What he's done simply doesn't make sense from a town perspective while there are backdoor possibilities that make it an acceptable scum play. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, then it's usually a duck
