I've found a nice undeveloped area that I quite enjoy. I actually put a good amount of time into this and made a 10x8x10 sandstone house, with two floors. Now I'm working on a mine.
I'm keeping the coords a secret though. hehehehhhh.

I've only played single player + the last official version of hm0d before that closed down.
What commands (if any) are available on this server? Mainly making sure I'm not unaware of some quick travelling or /home /warp /spawn thing that would make hub travel easier.
Also to find your coordinate you hold down F3 and look at the x and z values, right?

Edit: Also I'm jesskitten in game, and after building my small treehouse partway I saw a bit of excavated underground area nearby with 3 sand blocks stacked on each other next to the entrance. Oops. Oh well, hopefully I don't dig into your area.
Sorry I missed saying hi in game earlier. Was testing connection while not on my main computer and network lagged out to hell and back, and I only managed to fix it after toggling Limit Framerate to On. Not sure why, or if it's even related to that toggle. No such problems at home.
2 things to report:
1) Tans while working on the stair-mine (a.k.a. Mine A) at my place around y-coordinate 15, I dug into one of your many tunnels.
2) Fucking lava. ~6 gold, 3 diamond, and god knows how many iron picks and plates, as well as full armor.
Also, I died and couldn't find my home for some time, wandering desolately around, and through Claus's mansion (totally by accident too, though I did see your sign ) till I stumbled back upon it by accident. Was very surprised my items were still there about half an hour and a couple relogs due to crashes (from setting rendered view high to try to find my home) later! Yay diamond pickaxe. <3
Oh and I am so bad at directions. But I just saw that
train station
some stone path thing near my home. I chose my current place by accident, hope it isn't too close. I didn't see it there before, sorry!

Ok, UA, can you see what is going on with me in particular? I haven't been able to play for the past week due to severe lag or the world not populating around me when i first log in, making it where i fall forever.

Shaking the thread up a bit - I´m 1/3 done with the hotel in Claus Town. Now when you visit, you won´t have to hunt for a place to sleep anymore. Also in the process I found a dozen of mini caves in the hills near my home, if anyone wants to explore them with me (not sure if any of them is deep or not), drop me a line when I´m online!
I'm planning on logging in at some point and deciding whether i want to make myself a permanent settlement that I'll eventually forget exists or just keep wandering without anything on me
or
make chests as I travel to hold valuables that people can find and take from (would make dying so much less painful) as they wish. Leaning towards the third option when I log in again but not in the mood right now.

I was actually doing the same thing. A hotel on the other side of Lake Leek.
Need to prettify my treehouse thing (and probably make the walls from a material that's a bit sturdier than dirt). Connected a few other nearby trees (sadly after I built my small lava moat, some fiery cows burnt down two of the nearest trees). Connected house with road. The cavern down from my house to the right, the one starting at z=18 at least, is humongous and sprawling to the point that I don't think I can finish exploring it and lighting up the whole thing. If anyone wants to go flush out the baddies, feel free.

Something funny just happened to me. I logged in some minutes ago, and found the remains of a creeper explosion in the ouside of the building I was in, maybe 10-20 blocks away from my position - the item blocks were still scattered about - that means one of two things:
Either A- someone got creepered off less than 5 minutes before I logged in, and logged off right away (I was alone in the server) -- very unlikely
or B- creepers sometimes explode by themselves when logging in! Maybe that is old news for some of you, but I've never seen that one before.
Just in case, I left a "Time Marker" in the logs, in case the mods want to confirm that there wasn't anyone on before me
In other news, the hotel construction proceeds - slowly. Wool has been hard to come by recently.
It may have been me! Sorry. I was creepered SOMEwhere when it was pitch dark and I was trying to find my way back to my base after death (which prompted me to put that note in the above post after I found it again). It was fairly close to spawn, yes?
I didn't exactly survive that time so not sure where it was, but it was a couple hours ago from the time of your post.. I think it was about
2.5-3
Edit: 2-2.5 hours ago as of the time of this post (and I had to run shortly after). Maybe items from death, explosion etc persists for some time.. (dropped items sadly not as long). I think I've had death-dropped items persist for like 30-45 minutes on this server.
Also, may I grab a non-MS friend along to help me build stuff, or is there a server policy against that? My best friend doesn't play Mafia yet.

Probably wasn't you - it wasn't close to spawn. Talking to JD on the server, it seems that logging in when laggy and at "night" may cause random creepers to explode. Creepers need "line of vision" to explode (walls/glass blocks that) - the creeper loads before the world/block loads, and may explode in this short while, even if there is a wall separating you from it. Not much can be done about that.
As for non-mafia players, I would wait for UA/other admins to make that call. It would be nice if any players would post on/read this thread regularly.
