Prana: Sorry. Mafia played well though; took out all the obvtown that were trying to do stuff and then left only the lurkers and people like them around at the end. They did well to take out the town's structure FAST.

It's a shame I died when I did, thanks to Parama.

I had Empking confirmed as scum, because I tracked him to ROTN.

I knew he was scum in that moment, trying to RB ROTN.

I am kinda mad that no one even questioned why I wanted Emking to claim SO BADLY.

When did you have him as confirmed scum and why the hell didn't you claim that immediately?

I definitely should've picked a different Night Court character though, thinking about it the only role Bull could really end up as is a roleblocker.

My actual roles were roleblocking (but I couldn't roleblock the Nuke once it had happened), or blocking someone from gaining AP.

Interestingly, I only wound up using my role twice (kept forgetting to do so, despite the fact with all the town lynches, I likely amassed a huge amount of AP I could have used... actually, that should have been a sign we had a lot of town now I think on it). First on Emp, second on Kats.

Knowing my luck, it didn't do a damned thing either time.

Oh, and thanks to AGM for an interesting and well put together game, as usual.

I'm looking forward to your next game!

Preview Edit - Which is why you don't screw around when you have scum dead to rights LLD. You held on to info and it cost Town.

I had him as confirmed scum LITERALLY as I died.

I got the PM back from AGM telling me that Empking had targeted ROTN.

I accepted a BP deal with Parama.

Went back to the topic, asked Empking to claim IMMEDIATELY.

And died.

I wanted to make sure.

And Scum had already made their kills that day.

I wasn't expecting to be killed by Parama.

Kiss my ass MoI.

I would have died D2 had I not trusted him.

Furthermore, I was expecting there to be a FUCK load of 3rd Parties. I thought there would be at least one that wasn't detriment to town.

This is what I wanted to check.

We had too many mislynches, AND the mafia kills had already passed.

P-Edit: I was dead by the time his action resolved.

The nuke being RB'd didn't flip in the thread until AFTER my death.

Well, congrats Katsuki. You never even got on my needs to die list, and I hit about half the game with that o.O

I'm kind of amazed at how many townies we had.

My power was AWESOME and I never got to use it T_T. I could take the game back to any real life time for 72 hours. i.e., I could have revived the whole game and got some mass lynchins' done. My other two powers were the ability to edit my posts, and the ability to edit my votes.

Anyway, were both kills from the mafia, or were there town kills mixed in?

I lied a little about my ability.

I couldn't stop kills. I could stop anything EXCEPT a kill.

Not that it mattered, because my real power was AP regen.

That would've been awesome. Though it's a role that could have easily broken the game if it was used late game. Just reverse back to the first day, before any lynches, and as we'd have all the revived known town back, we just lynch through all of the unknown alignment players in rapid succession to win.

Well reviewer. Although it was mostly 'wait fuck that looks broken! But wait just give the scum MOAR POWER to make up for it' than an exact science. Weird game though, you guys started off really fast, slowed to a crawl and spent way too long on day 1.

[Town Role PMs]

Spoiler: RangeroftheNorth
AlmasterGM wrote:
You're walking on a beach just before sunrise. Your feet sink softly into the sand as the warm waves splash over your ankles. The girl of your dreams is at your side, her beautiful black hair flying gently in the wind. You want to say something to her, but for some reason you can't. But you don't need to. She turns to you, puts her hand around your waist, and leans in. Her deep blue eyes gaze dreamily into yours. As your lips touch, the sun bursts over the horizon, its bright and glorious light flooding across the ocean onto the sand. The moment is bliss, pure bliss …

You awaken abruptly to the sound of your alarm buzzing. Your eyes flicker around your room searching for the girl, but all you see are beer cans, two pizza boxes, and clothing sprawled all over the floor. You groan, stumble out of bed, and slowly trod across the room. You jerk the door open, expecting to see your poorly lit dormitory hallway, but are instead greeted with a blinding white light. As you shield your eyes, you hear a laugh.

"Good morning, animorpherv1," a soothing male voice says. "My name is Dr Alexander. I'm the lead scientist of this little experiment. I'm glad to see you made it safety. We had to copy the environment of your alias into your subconscious, you see…"

As your eyes adjust, you see that this "Alexander" is a tall, blonde haired man in a white lab coat. He is standing in the center of a brightly-lit, bleached white hallway lined with dozens of other doors. You groan and slit your eyelids back shut.

“This device will contain all the information you need to know,” Alexander says, twirling the pad through his fingers. “Make sure to read it thoroughly. If you have any questions, you can contact us directly using the device.”

Alexander hands the device to you. It is weightless and its screen glows softly on your face. “Good luck, AlmasterGM of mafiascum,” he finishes. “Goodness knows, you’ll need it.”

You slam your door shut, sit down at your desk, and begin to examine the tablet. Experiment summary … waiver of liability … informed consent release … after fifteen minutes, you finally locate what you were looking for: the Subject Dossier. You eagerly tap the “open” button on the screen, and are startled to read the following…

Begin Dossier

Subject Name:
animorpherv1

Alias:
AlmasterGM

Alias Origin:
mafiascum

Role:
Nuclear Vigilante

Role Description:

Just under two years ago, you signed up for a website called "mafiascum." You thought mafia would be a fun game to practice your debate and logic skills with. In retrospect, this was a terrible idea and is probably responsible for that "B" you got last semester. You ended up not even being that good at the game, either. On the up side, though, you’re a pretty creative person, and have managed to create a few pretty cool scummy-nominated setups.

Side:
Town

Faction:
Town

Side Description:

The time is always right to do what is right. –Martin Luther King, Jr.

Activated Abilities

Nuclear launch {100 AP}
[NORAD SYSTEM] ALERT. ALERT. NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED.

You may attempt to kill another player by posting the command
Nuke: PLAYERNAME
in the thread. It will take 72 hours for any nuke to hit its target. You may cancel your nuke by posting
Abort launch
in the thread up to 48 hours after launch. The kill flavor is “nuked.”

Voting Abilities

Mob Rule {0 AP}
-
“CHOO CHOOOOO DIE SCUM DIE.”

Vote for target player to be lynched.

Restrictions

Short tempered
-
“And now I'm "floundering?" THE FUCK? I'M DESTROYING YOUR LOGIC ON EVERY LEVEL. IF ANYONE'S FLOUNDERING HERE, IT"S YOU.”

If you are at L-2 or below, you must post in ALL CAPS. Repeated violations of this restriction may result in modkill or temporary loss of powers, to be decided at the mod's discretion.

Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S.)

Initial AP

You begin the game with 50 AP.

Gaining AP

Whenever a player is eliminated by any non-nuclear method, you gain 25 AP.

End Dossier

You place the tablet to the side of your desk and stare at the photograph of you and your best friends on the wall.
I am AlmasterGM of mafiascum…and I will bring justice into this world.

The words ring in your ear for a moment before dissipating. Without further ado, you leap to your feet, get dressed, grab your messenger bag, and head out the door. Your journey has begun.

Please confirm by return PM.

“Hello?” You call out. Your voice echoes on the arched ceilings a few times before dissipating. Suddenly, you hear a door slam. You spin around in and see a figure standing in the doorway.

“Good morning, PranaDevil,” says a tall, blonde haired man wearing a white lab coat. “Or should I say, ‘Bull Shannon.’ My name is Dr Alexander. I’m the lead scientist of this little experiment. I’m glad to see you made it safely.”

Alexander pulls of his glasses and pulls a small, electronic tablet from within his white lab coat. “This device will contain all the information you need to know,” Alexander says, twirling the pad through his fingers. “Make sure to read it thoroughly. If you have any questions, you can contact us directly using the device.”

Alexander hands the device to you. It is weightless and its screen glows softly on your face. “Good luck, Bull Shannon,” he finishes. “Goodness knows, you’ll need it.”

You examine the tablet and rub your head in confusion. You awaken in blackness. You grasp around for some sort physical clue to where you are, but feel nothing. You reach down to the ground ... only to discover in shock that there is no ground. Panic begins to flood through you ... followed by a calm. You know what to do. You squeeze your eyes shut and prepare to spin through the construct known as "time"...

“Good morning, Tragedy,” says a soothing voice from behind you. You open your eyes and see a tall, blonde haired man illuminated in the darkness. “Or should I say, ‘Akemi Homura.’ My name is Dr Alexander. I’m the lead scientist of this little experiment. Don't bother trying to escape. Where we are is outside the realm of time ... a place inbetween. We are in eternity."

“Good luck, Akemi Homura,” he finishes. “Not that you can't just change it if it doesn't go your way, eh?"

You examine the pad intently. Experiment summary … waiver of liability … informed consent release … after fifteen minutes, you finally locate what you were looking for: the Subject Dossier. You eagerly tap the “open” button on the screen, and are startled to read the following ...

You awaken in a bank vault, surrounded by money. Money. Money everywhere. Instinctively, you begin to grab as much as it as you possibly can. You stuff it down your pockets, pants, shirt, and shoes … until you cannot possibly carry any more. But you don’t care about what you can or cannot possibly do. You need more money. You NEED it. As your mind races trying to think of additional ways to transport the money, the door to the vault suddenly swings open, revealing a tall, blonde haired man wearing a white lab coat.

“Good morning, Parama,” the man says. “Or should I say, ‘Milo Minderbinder.’ My name is Dr Alexander. I’m the lead scientist of this little experiment. I’m glad our operation on your cerebellum was applied correctly. Our surgeons were afraid they wouldn’t be able to make you greedy enough. But that seems to not have been a concern.”

That would've been awesome. Though it's a role that could have easily broken the game if it was used late game. Just reverse back to the first day, before any lynches, and as we'd have all the revived known town back, we just lynch through all of the unknown alignment players in rapid succession to win.

That was EXACTLY my plan. I was trying my best to live to Day 4 or 5 to pop the power and get lynching going.

The problem is, if I died during the ability's use, all townies would lose all AP. So you'd have to either have me confirmed or lynch me last.

Also, were scum kills time based or AP based?
