I had an issue with that problem two.

I am not used to the 2^4 thing. I didn't understand what it meant at first. I am used to have that number that the power number on top on the right.

X^Y is fairly common formatting in pretty much every context but high school textbooks, in my experience.

Well yes. I'm in school and we don't use that format.
