Info about energy, and how it is used and lost:
When the game starts, each player has 100 energy.
Players bid energy to win powers. Bids are permanent losses of energy, but only winning bids are counted.
During the actual rumble there are only 3 ways to lose energy:
-Taking damage. This is permanent.
-Spending energy for a power, or to attack or defend. This is temporary, lasting only for that one round.
-Burning energy. This is permanent.
There's actually another way to think about it. I'll explain in the next post.-

Energy is your health. (like HP) When you take damage, you lose energy/health. Makes sense.
However, it also acts as a 'cap' on how much you can do. How healthy you are affects how effective you are in battle. If you are hurt or tired, you're output is diminished. That's how spending works. You're not losing the energy, per se. You're just using it, but it's limited more as you get hurt.
Burning is something else though. It's either like overexerting yourself - performing that one move that absolutely wears you out. It's high-cost. That energy that you used to perform that power isn't coming back.
Or, it's like a bloodcost. In order to perform that magic power, you have to sacrifice some of yourself.
So basically, burning energy is like hurting yourself to do something extra strong. Whereas spending it is just for that round. Not sure if that clears it up at all.-

Here's the example I PMed you at the start, Cost is the same as using energy for attack and defence, burn would take the energy away for good. I apologize if I didn't make it clear enough...
Occult wrote:All right we are now in the bidding round, you may talk/argue amongst yourselves about what to bid on but I remind you that all communication must be in thread. When you have decided on what you would like to bid on send me a PM with all of you bids. You have you 100 energy to spend on points, if this bidding round ends with powers that were not taken we will run a second bidding stage.
Example
Frozen- 20 energy
Wildfire-20 energy
Trololo-20 Energy
If I win frozen, but lose the others I would enter the game with 80 energy and the frozen ability if I had won all three I would enter the game with 40 energy and all three powers.
Powers that sayCostonly use up energy for that round (very much like making an attack or defence you don't lose the energy, it is only tied up for that round) Powers that sayBurn energymeans that you will lose your energy for good. Powers that say unblockable damage means that they cannot be blocked, where powers that just deal damage can be blocked.
Any questions or clarifications on the powers, just send me a PM or post them in thread.-
