Maxous wrote:Mastin - 161 wrote:
@Toon Fighter: Can I get on your thoughts on wheter you think Tomie and Hiplop might be mafia? And Edmund as well actually.
My analysis on:
1) Tomie ISO: He seems town enough. I agree with him that Mastin's early game list is useless, but mastin looks town to me, his play style so far is similar to his previous games as town. I think he is asking good and pertinent questions, and is proving a good town player so far.
2) Hiplop ISO: His content seems to be very poor. He is also on the "mastin's lists are evil, kill mastin" group, but to me, the motivation behind his attacks on mastin seem scum-driven. He is providing little content and reasons for his attacks and is not giving good defences against attacks on him. He says mastin making lists trying to make him look town is scummy, but, if someone votes and accuses him for it, it isn't making him look town right?
3) Edmund ISO: Very few posts, too many votes. I don't really see if his posts intentions come from scum or town, but it could be some scum looking for an early wagon to ride to an easy mislynch. But it could also just be a cautious townie. I need to see more posts from him to decide better.
Summing it up:
Mastin - town looking
Tomie - town looking
Hiplop - scum looking
edmund - both/neither
For now, I shall VOTE: vote: Hiplop
Notice he says he has a town read on Mastin.
Toon Fighter wrote:Mastin is prob gambiting town, just like in previous games. However, in previous games, his gambits didn't always end well (remember tricycle mafia? -.-) and can harm town so I'd take them with a grain of salt. In my opinion, mastin should die before LyLo or he can harm town more. But, since I see him as prob town, I don't want to really lynch him unless it's in town's best interest.
Now here in his last sentence, he says that Mastin is prob town but would be satisfied with lynching Mastin if it was in the town's best interest. Town need to make their own statements and stand by them IMO and lynch people they think are scum. This statement makes Toon Fighter one of my top scum reads. I can't believe i didn't see this before.
Unvote, Vote: Toon Fighter

Toon Fighter wrote:I have some time now.
warriormode, I think that mastin's gambits are anti-town, and I also believe anti-town players are good lynches. So, I advocate that a mastin lynch could be a good lynch if he continues his stupid gambits -.- If he plays good town and doesn't make stupid gambits (Lie detector? come on) I believe he should not be our lynch.
I see there are cases on other players and some discussion around, but I don't have much time now. The next time I'm online I'll decide if I should change my vote or keep it on hiplop.
I disagree with you. I think Mastin's gambits such as the fake claim and the blind scum list he made at the beginning of the game were bothpro-town, especially the fake claim.
His claim was so obviously fake, that its harmless to us because nobody is going to honestly believe his claim. its not like he claimed something legitimate like a "cop" claim to keep us guessing and then screwing us in the end.
The pro-town part about it is that it drew reactions from some players in this game that i think are likely to be scum (which I want to get to as well), just like his intentions with the fake scum list.
Mastin is a very experienced and skilled player and so far seems to be playing a pro-town role in this game. And also, I think his fake claim could come along handy for later in the game.- warriormode

Empking wrote:warriormode wrote:Empking wrote:Zdenek wrote:Empking, why is Maxous on your no lynch list for today?
He wasn't on either wagon.
And why does that exempt him from being lynched?
Because scum would've got on one of the wagons.
I disagree. Maxous was on the hiplop wagon the entire day up until hiplop's reaction to being lynched. and Toon Fighter was scum so it makes complete sense that he was not on that wagon.- warriormode

Hiraki wrote:Still can't join.
Basically half of the people here have joined because of paupum's "scum" rage. While pauper is scummy, my compadre muffinman has stated the difference between a paupam scum/town rage. Has no one answered? Nope.
Is Hiraki joining the wagon of opportunity? Nope.
I will say though, ICE's vote looks forced.
This post is all about giving himself Town-creed and deflecting attention to ICE. Seemed like a completely unnecessary statement for a town-person to make. pappum's only had 6 votes on him at the time so it wasn't like he was in danger of getting lynched really.
Then he makes a weak case on Hiplop later in page 25, but a lot of people did that. The most important thing on page 25...- warriormode

Maxous wrote:Lewarcher is an interesting flip I did'nt see coming.
And he was nice enough to write lots of details in his catch up posts. I'll look through them later, then decide who I want to pursue.
Have you actually ISO'ed Lewarcher yet? you've had enough time to.
Now Lewarcher didn't have too many posts so...

9. Torqez <--Town.
10. Maxous <---Also town.
13. Pine
14. pappums rat <--I'm guessing town.
16. Tomie Uzumaki <--Scumz.
17. Hiraki <--Null. I'll look more into this.
18. Toon Fighter <--Town.
19. SomeRandomGuy <--Very slight town-read.
20. zMuffinMan <--Also a very slight town-read.
The gaps are people who I have trouble judging the content on, so far.
^this is absolute folly. And I see no pro-town reason for doing it. But again: as someone will later say: who would take this seriously? Common! There are two possible explanation. Mastin is a VI (which I kinda think) or he is trying to end the RVS before it starts. No more than this.
@post 36: the word is quadruple.
mastin 45-54: see above.
At this point Bowser moves his vote to Tomie... at this point I would have probably moved my vote to bowser.
Uprising post 83: OMFGWITG???????? (oh my f god who is this guy?) mastin's reads were ACCURATE? here I would have moved my vote to Uprising, with much more convintion tha I would have had voting Bowser.
posts 90-91: Muffin andMAXOUSget town-points for this. But my vote would remain on UprisungSCUMBUDDY!
94-96: Tomie has a point here....
mastin 104: I have played with some of the biggest VI'S sitewise, and still I never get used to it. This post makes me wanna se mastin hang regardless from his alignment.
Prana 106: this sounds like town-Prana to me...
mastin2 111: ok, look, I am starting to think joining this game was not a good idea...now tell me exactly what your torquez town-read was based on.
post 130: I am liking this malpascp person.
uprising 132: why not? What is wrong with it?How do you scumhunt without hypothesiosing connectins? My vote would still be here.
pine 138-139: I know how you play scum and I will not allow you to use your short posts in which you do not explain the reasons behind your actions. You claim to have re-read.Then explain why Tomie is scum.
Prana 144: meh... way to use 20 lines to say stuff you could say in 10 words.
hiplop 147: hiplop is wrong, muffin is right. and saying muffin is distracting town is ridiculous. Who is distracting town is mastin (prolly a town VI) and whoever tries to make cases because of his lists.
pappum's 149: I can agreee with the contents, that look town, but none of them is original/new content at this point. Null.
Hiraki 155: again: goodposting, but damn, why is everyone ignoring uprising scummy lurking?SCUMBUDDY!
mastin 159: sneaky move. This is a sneaky move. If a player who has joined in 2011 is stupid enought to think they can play good in a large closed setup, it's their problem. The odds of getting scum are the same.
pappums 162: reasonable meta analysis. Can someone confirm?
hiplop 182: you. need. to. post. cases.
mod 188: the brilliant result of mastin's strategy. leading wagons are mastin and tomie. Prolly both town.
Uprising 190: OMFG how come no one votes this guy????
Tomie 199: u r right about pine.
Uprising 204: oh come on!!!
Mintkitten 248: I guess this post is th ebeginning of bowser's wagon, right?
lunch break is over... the rest of my catch up will come after work.
you would think anyone who ISO'ed him would notice this post and mention it.
So why did Maxous fail to mention anything from Lewarcher? Hmmm? duh! Maxous is SCUM!- warriormode

So if malpascp has never played with you before, how would he know this:
mastin2 wrote:Warrior:Same reason Maxous was. And same reason Sorgster/Tomie is. On my D1 wagon.
Yes, my wagon was a good place for scum to be.You're claiming that it's something they wouldn't do for fear of being analysed by you, right?
Slowly explain the logic here (without referring to psychology), because you're convinced there can't be any more scum on that early wagon, and in my books, that makes it a really, really good place for scum to be.
Two scum, in fact.
Not more than that. It's common effing sense to not put too many cards on the table, create a strong link between players. If half the wagon on me was scum, then it'd create a strong link between the players, a link that others (especially me, the wagoned, who is very fond of VCA) would scrutinize. It'd be Mugging The Monster, so to speak. It'd be attacking the one guy you never want to attack, since he diverts attention to you and begins to read you. Two scum? Sure, that's proven. Three scum? When they'd already risked as much as they had? When it was very probable that the wagon would be analyzed and people would form the conclusion that it was scum-driven?
Heck no.
My point is: you say that scum would not to fuck with you because you'll give them hell.
which makes sense and I agree with you that not too many scum would wagon you.
but people who don't know you, would not know your game (obviously).
So since malpascp shouldn't know you, couldn't he be an exception to your 2 scum min, and thereforenotconfirmed town?- warriormode

In post 353, GreyICE wrote:mastin2 wrote:There is nothing in the normal rules against that role, Grey. It's an investigation-type role. It's also quite a weak ability.
http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=Normal_Game
That's EXACTLY the sort of role that the normal games try to get away from. Like, what if Hiraki says "hiphop is scum." Does your lie detector get "False" if Hiiphop is town, true if he's scum? Or does it go off what Hiraki knows? What if I post a list of 5 names and say 1 or more is scum. Do we have five confirmed townies if you get 'false?'
It's a theme game ability, through and through.
Do any of you see Vote stealer on here? I don't.
He obviously has the ability to double vote (proven D2), but why did he not just claim doublevoter?
Furthermore, why didn't scum just kill him Night 2? Wouldn't it make sense for scum to kill someone that would seem confirmed town?
My theory is: Since GreyICE has double voting powers he should be using this ability now, but he's isn't. He only used it once on Maxous for a lynch.
To convince me of being just a doublevoter or "votestealer", I need to see him use this ability again and (when I mean again I mean NOW). Otherwise, I believe GreyICE only has a limited amount of shots on doublevoting. There's no way he's an X-shot doublevoter that seems stupid. The only role that seems fitting for GreyICE is a Jack of All Trades which is indeed a scum role for sure.- warriormode
