This is gonna sound incredibly WIFOM, but isn't it entirely possible that they are scum and that they were aware that someone would use that logic to clear them of suspicion? I'm not saying that they're scum, but I think it's a bit early to say they're confirmed town.

Nikanor seems very random in his posts, and it doesn't inspire confidence in me.

Umbrage seems to have flown under the radar a little; she's very quick to accuse multiple people in rapid succsession.

. I don't have much of an opinion on the haoala wagon, but I have a theory: hoala and Captain Corparal have hydra'd together very recently;

they're not both scum, would this not allow them to give more accurate reads on each other? If we can confirm one of them, we may get a better read on the other. I'm less confident in my vote on Nikanor than I was, but I don't see any point in changing it as of yet; he's not close to a lynch.

I don't see anything wrong with PBPA other than the ability to take posts out of context and the length they can take.

Liking the 'lynch diddin' idea, I was getting bored of haoala/mego wagons.

If hoala or mego flips town, do we assume the other to be innocent?

A lot of us, myself included, didn't notice that the mod had already stated that there are no jesters. If Nikannor made a similar mistake, it's possible he attempted to act like a jester in order to avoid lynching...?

13 players, typical 10v3 setup, it is viable that there are no double years. I wanted all 13 year claims so I could examine this. if only 3-4 had double-claimed years, that would have been interesting information.

This is my take on it: Maruchan, townie, asks us all to claim seemingly useless information on good faith. Hoala, scum, doesn't want to claim until he knows exactly what information Maruchan thinks he can glean from it. Maruchan, not wanting to foster feelings of distrust amongst the town, reveals his hand. Hoala, not wanting to look scummy, then asks whether the claim should go ahead safe in the knowledge that he is prepared for it.

I included Parabollock's post because he broke the popcorn-style; I also find this suspicous.

Don't like the idea of everyone visiting Maruchan. Mafia-alligned PGO or reflex role-cop? It's semi-bastard theme. I'm also curious as to how you have a game-breaking strategy when you don't know the set-up. If you're town-alligned reflex role-cop, then you may be able to figure one out, but I would've expected you to be macho and/or one-shot if that were the case.

diddin, yes we need to lynch by the end of the day. We also, as you said, have five days to make a lynch. Yes, we need to hurry. No, we don't need to lynch in the next five minutes or lose the game. Your urgency seems somewhat disproportional.

Having said that, we seem to have hit brick wall in discussion; there simply isn't any way we're going to reach concensus at this rate, I think that someone's stalling the lynch, presumably scum. I say we all reread this thread and vote whoever we think is stalling the most. I should post my vote in the next ten minutes, but I may get kicked off the computer first, in which case I'll post tomorrow.

Okay, I've gone through most of the thread, and I've also iso'd the lurkers. One of them stands out; not just due to a lack of posts, but due to a lack of information: Parabollocks. Only seven posts isn't inherently scummy, but when only two or three of those posts contain information, there's a problem.

In other news, Umbrage is looking really bad. Her intention may not have been to stall, but the confusion caused through her defense of Maru and her mass accusations is

holding this lynch up.

I think diddin is town, though a tad misguided. I have no read on Nik; he shares my suspicions of Parabollocks, though he may be bussing him. I like having his insanity around though, as distracting as it is, it throws rather messed up light on the situation.

Mego and haoala both stalled their lynches, however, many townies would do the same. I have no reads on either.

IMO, the most important scum today is the one we can actually agree on.

@ 2birds1stone: Just about everything I've done has been an attempt to move the game forward: encouraging Maruchan's plan, and pushing a lynch on Mego and haoala. Burden of Proof is on you to show otherwise.

You were the only proponent of Maru's plan long after the town had moved on. That's not moving forwards, that's beating a dead horse with a stick (no offence to you Maru, but I do believe the majority of the town wasn't/isn't willing to put that much trust in your plan). Yes, you've pushed a few lynches, notably Mego and hoala, but that's not necessarily town behaviour. I'm voting for you for spreading confusion and chaos, and for looking scummy in general, but hey, another vote or two on Parabollocks and sure, I'll join that wagon.
