Not even a full RL day and already nine pages!? Gee whiz, I'm going to need some time here.

SleepyKrew obviously looks bad on page 1, but I
DO
need to read the rest of the thread.

David Xanatos insisting that a loyalist is the same thing as a vanilla townie does seem a bit off, but I fail to see a pro-scum motive in getting people to stop claiming loyalist. If loyalist is merely an alignment, then claiming loyalists gives nobody information. If loyalist does indeed equal vanilla townie, then he is right that it narrows down the pool. I don't have a strong town read on David, but it's there.

I'm undecided about Otolia. On the one hand, I want to call his reaction to the fake daykill a newb tell because faking a daykill very early in the game is not uncommon, but on the other hand I don't know if the term "newb" is still correct.

kdowns, why the heck did you claim on page 4? Do you realize that you may not get a chance to use that vig shot now?

I don't like Shinki's lumping onto gandalf5166 in post #133. Opportunistic as hell.

VOTE: Shinki

If I missed anything important (I refuse to claim my house), please speak up.

What is strange in my reaction ? I was surprised at first, re-read the thread (because it was hard as hell to understand) write another post. After people were pretty much convinced it was a fake DayKill, I moved on and didn't talk about it. If that's your read on me, then my read on you is that you don't do enough for this game (read more likely to be scum in D1), there is much more you could have said but you decided to speak about something not game related. If SK and me were actually still arguing and insulting each other, it would makes sense but it doesn't right now.

So I'd like you to give another read on me.

One of us is not understanding the other. When I said I was undecided, that implied that I couldn't settle on a read of town or scum on you. To respond to what I think you mean to be your request, you're neutral leaning town right now, but it's kind of hard to have
another
read on someone when you're trying to get your
first
read of the player.

In post 224, SleepyKrew wrote:Fine, pretend you're obviously not a Town PR, it's only hurting yourself.

This has scum written all over it. This implies that you think David Xanatos is a power role, which is a bad idea to say out loud in the first place,
AND
it's an obvious attempt to smear him.

In post 262, SleepyKrew wrote:I am
The Motherfucking Entire Imperial Skyfleet, Loyalist Macho X-Shot Bulltetproof X-Shot Dayvig.

Flavor stuff:
I'm Macho because nobody can defend better than the Fleet.
I'm Bulletproof cause of armor.
I'm Dayvig cause of weaponnz.
Not revealing number of shots because that would be stupid.
I crumbed it when I "shot" Otolia, because "Death from above" is the Fleet's motto.

This screams like something out of Star Wars, which conflicts with my understanding of the theme being medieval, and even if I understand it incorrectly it is ridiculously overpowered.

So you're going to side with the player who freaked out and panicked because he couldn't properly read a sample role PM and twisted facts way out of context over the player who actually read the facts and knew what he was talking about.

Tell me how SleepyKrew insisting that David Xanatos is a vanilla townie over and over again is any better, because it takes DX out of the pool of possible power roles.

In post 427, AGar wrote:Aaaand you're voting for someone over gambits and a daykill...

You imply that gambits and daykills are inherently townie here, which they're not. If you do not want me to consider you as likely to be SleepyKrew's partner, explain how what SleepyKrew specifically has done in those regards is townie. Defending gambits and daykills in general is not an answer.

In post 427, AGar wrote:Not buying the mason claim. Confirmation from Monk isn't going to do much to change that. Yeahno.

You do realize that faking masons, especially on Day 1, is a suicide mission more often than not, right?

In post 442, vezokpiraka wrote:Yeah.

We can lynch monk and david together for being scum.
"Third Legion Stormtroopers Allied to the true Heir of the Throne." - monk

I see neither loyalist nor House Argelev in your claim. You are scum my friend.

unvote vote monk

"Loyalist" means "town", rendering that term redundant, and there are other pro-town houses than the Argelev if memory serves me correctly. This is opportunistic.

NOW
it's a question.

Empking hopped onto the monk wagon after vezokpiraka's crappy rationale for disbelief in monk's claim, and there is more support for lynching Empking than vezokpiraka right now (what I'm getting is that other people think vezok to be a VI). My reason is not "wrong" simply because you are against the wagon.

Quit subtly supporting your partners by poisoning my well.

Some things are scummier than others. A poor reaction to someone's misunderstanding of the sample role PM is not as scummy as advocating the lynch of a claimed mason, especially with the rationale vezokpiraka gave.

Until Day 8, I'm fairly sure almost everyone had a townread of Nero Cain. Magua, as well played a very good game, and was never suspected until the sudden, unfortunate flip. So even though AGar "officially" won, I won't care if the Bremburg players count this as a win on their records (if they keep those things). Doing this would render my long losing streak as Mafia broken. Nero Cain cannot be thanked enough here.
