Well, it seems they are preparing everything for the 1.0 release november 18th. I think the biggest changes have already been added, it should be safe for you to resume playing now

I´d say that the previous results are still valid. I remember asking winners to PM me their desired prizes, but got no replies. We probably should make another contest after the releases stabilize a bit.

I can't log into minecraft.net from the launcher, I've had to play on the server through a web browser. Which is super annoying.

Found this in my single player world, in the middle of a pit with a floating island above it. Fairly sure the floating island would have been a perfect block for block fit with the pit, and the island turned out to be hollow with a skeleton spawner inside.I don't think I want to go down these stairs. Whatever made them probably just wants some alone time. Right?

Delete your Minecraft.exe and download a new one from minecraft.net and you should be good to go.

I've gone mad and destroyed it
When there's a stable 1.9 (no pre's) I'll start building on my place again. Can't be bothered right now.
