I think Talitha should be "Dr. Dead" instead of Dr. Death, if she's going that route...

Talitha wrote:A while back Norinel suggested a doctor-related title for me due to my inability to live though Day 1 as a doc. The curse continues so I think I'd like a doc title.

'It's not easy being a doctor' or 'Dr Death' or something else?
Or should I stick with what I've got?
This was posted a month ago but got no play at the time; I was trying to jumpstart it, and adding that if she dies all the time, then she's the predicate, not the subject. Hence, "Dr. Dead".

mathcam, I'm curious: Is there a basis for the "Polygon of Mafia Hunters" title, besides the play on words? Did someone screw up the phrase in a game or something?

halo: Hush you, we're discussing your fate.

Roland: Since it's supposed to be something related to this site, I'd suggest:
Rolando sez, "F the white!"
but that might be too long.

I'll second "this" - the original post says your title ought to have something to do with the board, not just an in-joke no one here will get...(obviously there are exceptions, like "The Shadow...knows").

Sorry halo, you're still relatively new to my eyes so "Grunt" seemed to be the only one that made sense. Is "Spartan" a title in the game or something?

I'd say "no decision", or at least no on the current suggestion.

It seems to be a mutual admiration society in here suggesting titles for their RL friends, which isn't really the point of a title...

Vote: No
to warpdragon...I haven't really seen one that stands out for halo freak yet.

Meanwhile, Crola is by NO means the most erratic poster around. He's not even the most insane (although he is consistent in his mild insanity). I'm tempted to make a play on words (Crayola), but I think there's enough of that out there right no (

I dunno, I'd almost want to give W_W something like "nevermind..." in small text, for the way she rambles on and then tells us to disregard whatever it was (rl, tv show, the weather, etc) that had nothing to do with the game...it's pretty funny, she does it nearly every time.

I dunno, for Yaw all I'm coming up with is "Tentacle Monster" for his icon, and I don't think that's good enough... have to play more games with him.

I still don't get Pie_is_good's anagram (was it used in a game), but I think his (her?) should perhaps reference the fact that everyone confuses what gender he (she?) is...or isn't...or at least they used to last time I played with him (her). "Pie_is_male"? Maybe I'm behind the times...

In other news, being a townie three times (four?) in a row is not unusual...and if you're getting lynched for it, I would look at your playing style before trying to get your townieness confirmed in your title.

Vote: Dourgrim
for "mikehart Sr." The reflexiveness with mikehart's new title is too funny to pass up.

I have no opinion on PBuG since I wasn't in the game, but "I Win!" seems to be gaining ground.

Fritzler totally needs to be "More /in than you!". The other is a one-off joke that he's not even responsible for.

Thok: Ehhh, I don't get it.

MoS: Ehhh, I'd have more of an idea what his title should be if he lurked less. What about "Hunter Lurker"?

Y'know, somehow I don't think that's what Mervyn Peake had in mind when he wrote about the death owls in the Tower of Flints... :?

I figured MoS' title would revert to its previous incarnation once this owl thing blows oevr...(just a little incentive to let it die, eh MoS?)

I also vote against AniX having

Seconded, with feeling.

How about "Pay attention to meeeee!!!"

I like "Flexible", but the direct RB=Seol suggestions are too obvious. Part of the fun is the surprise element.

Seol's "Logical Rampage" though, is funny enough to second.

Prefer something like "Scully's Biggest Fan!!!!1!eleven" for AniX...

I don't get raj's or d_mage's. :?

I

I think we've sorted it out now, looks like some of the awards were given with reversed slashes, which IE can read but Firefox chokes on, so it gives the alt text, which happens to be the player's own title.

What's the deal with armlx's?

MBF - eh, doesn't strike me particularly, but not enough to oppose it.

Thok - support the "Disgrace" one.

Just plain "Triggerhappy" seems clear enough...also references his Newbie where he was "happy" not to pull the trigger, but I could be stretching there.

I not really crazy about the "Mafia #2" thing, since it seems like a one-off.

Nominate Glork for
Get Glorked
or something similar; seeing his name used as a verb in the forum threads had me cracking up a couple of weeks ago, but I've been too busy to post.
