Well that WAS your motto but then things turned sour. You see, the reason why your weather was always perfect was because of a amazing inventor. He created 2 machines, one that heated up the town when it got too cool and another to cool down the town when it got too hot.
Now the inventor had two apprentices. They hated each others guts. So when the old man died of old age he gave one machine to one apprentice and the other machine when to the other apprentice. As much as they loved the town, they hated each other more. Oh, there was a short peace but then they started warring with the weather machines.... then it got freaky...
It got cold as the Antartic one second and hot as the Gobi desert the next. Then if that wasn't enough they BOTH found themselves 2 goons to handle their dirty work.
The people were angered by this silly war. The anger was escalated with the slaying of a town member. Poor Johnny's murder was enough to make the town.... send one very angry letter to the warring apprentices.
Upon receiving the letters, the pair were shocked. This was only meant to be between them but they had tainted their followers so much to the point they the followers wanted the blood of the opposing faction. No matter what the cost.
So a meeting was held, and one letter was sent back:
"Send 8 of your bravest to the town square. We will send our goons. It has been decided that: If one of the goon teams manage to to take out most of you and the other faction, the faction they represent will control the town."
And so 8 of the finest, most courageous townies went to the town square, while others sensing a war moved out to let this handle itself. The town never knew the identities of the goons. But now they knew that the murderers were among them.
Vengeance was nigh.
A mob had formed.*
