Also, if we add walls, don't worry about making them big enough for future houses. Medieval towns had circle of walls that were built as the town grew. Having "inner" and "outer" walls as people are added to the town would be fun

Did you see my walling effort on the previous server? It was intense. I used 60 stacks of cobblestone. I'll gladly give you my design. I based it off the Great Wall.

I was talking about getting glowstone for aesthetic purposes. Torches would certainly look fine.

Well that was fucking lame.

Slipped off my mountain, and our water all froze. Then all but two of my items disappeared. Somehow they got through the ice and to the bottom of the lake. Then I got creepered...

I lost everything I had on me. Not a big deal it's all replaceable, just a pain in the ass to do so.

I suggest people stay off the server, as it's pretty buggy.

I googled the issue with the ice. It's a world file issue. Probably caused by the crash.

Updated my ticket with that information.

The grass is tundra colored as well.

Nothing; the water flow stops at the mouth of it, so there's no waterfall.

I fixed it. I think. The crash was somehow responsible for resetting the seed number. The new seed number apparently had a tundra biome where we had a plains. Should be fixed now.

I'll MCEdit and replace all the ice in the world tomorrow as I don't have a pc with me at the moment that could do such things.

It may only apply to chunks we've already generated (can't replace blocks that aren't generated)

Also, water in tundras should refreeze, yes?

Haven't been following up on the server as much as I would like to.
But I could select non-snow biome chunks. A tad more work, but doable.

Seems to be fine. Seed number is correct. Also, ice regenerates, so even if we already have the snow biome discovered (it is not that far from spawn), any thawn ice will recover pretty quickly.
