Mini #332 - Summer Camp at Scum Lake

"They found another one."

"Are you sure?"

The counselor gravely nodded.

It was hard to tell when everything got out of hand. A couple of weeks ago, the cook reported a set of knives missing from the kitchen. It was dismissed as a prank, but soon it was discovered that this was no prank. Not after finding one of those knifes in the back of said cook. Somebody, or something, was out to make sure that nobody left camp alive.

The head counselor shook his head. "OK, put it with the other ones." he told the counselor. "Wait, hold on a second," he said, standing to meet the counselor at the door of his office. "Tell everybody to meet in the common room." He requested. The counselor nodded and left.

It was a shocking sight to see the dwindling number of counselors and campers that had assembled. What was once the largest turnout for camp in years had been whittled away to only a small number. The head counselor addressed the collected members of Camp Scum Lake:

"As you all know, somebody, or something, is slowly whittling down the ranks of our members. All that are left are in this room." The twelve survivors looked at each other suspiciously. "The proper authorities have been identified," the Head Counselor continued, "but they are still several days away from our location. We must take action ourselves to prevent any more senseless violence. Let's talk amongst ourselves about what we've seen, and what we know about each other. If we can get a majority to agree to it, we'll throw one person out of the camp."

The assembled all nodded their head, and then eyed each other warily...

6. Please make night choices in a timely fashion. If I do not receive a night choice from you within 48 hours of the previous day's lynch, I will assume that you forgot to set your alarm clock, slept through the night, and took no action.
7. Please note inside of the thread if you will be unavailable for more than 48 hours. Long absences without a post can be considered grounds for replacement.
8. In the unfortunate case where I must put a deadline on the game, if a majority has not been reached, the game will go into night sans lynch.

Morning breaks, and the campers slowly rise from their slumbers, and meet in the dining hall for breakfast. In a stunning turn of events, you realize that there were no new casualties last night. The feelings of relief are soon changed to trepidation, as the person or people responsible are still at large.

After much discusssion, a consensus is formed. A large mob pulls Twito into the official Camp Van, drives him deep into the forest, and unceremoniously dumps him there to find his way home. You return to camp, and search his cabin. You don't find any weapons in his personal affects, but you do find band-aids, ointment, and books on First Aid. Looks like the medical tent won't be staffed tonight.

Day breaks again, and the campers rise. A quick count shows that 10 campers have made it to breakfast. One is missing - Mackay.

You hurry to her cabin, and find her clutching a knife! However, it looks like somebody else got to her with a knife first. Could she be behind the murders? You're a little confused, so you search the cabin. After turning up a list entitled "Most Likely Killers", you realize that she wasn't behind the murders. She was just looking out for number one - and willing to bring a little vigilante justice to those she thought were evil.
