Yeah I'll probably do this after I'm done with this game of LoL. Anyone know if I can join scumchat from imo.im or meebo?

Got awesome cards in my opinion. Opened up with a stormkirk captain then got passed nothing but blue/white flying, mostly spirits. Won my first match 2-0 against a red/black/green deck. Waiting for the next round

UW Skies, oh the classics never die.

In other news, is Kibler's WRR deck insane, or is it just me? Now to afford 4 Huntsmasters...

Blue white spirits is hella good in this format.

Also, honestly, I think huntsmaster is a very overrated card. I'll bet you can find 4 cards for that slot that are way less expensive and are equally if not more powerful.

It kind of does everything in WRR. Removal, life gain, and draws off mass removal, plus shuts Liliana off hard.

Plus it survives slagstorm flipped, and that's HUGE.

WRR has a strong midgame, but loses to fast decks and anything that can shut down their bombs.

I played U/B Heartless tonight at FNM. Went 3-2 on the night, should have been 4-1, but I made some really bad mistakes in G4 that cost me the match. Dungeon Geists continuing to be the sleeper MVP while Havengul Lich soaks up the limelight.

that was such horse shit

so won my first match (vs Gamma), lost the second match (against the guy who ended up undefeated for the night and won everything), won my third match. idiot official forgot to tell people it was a FOUR ROUND draft instead of THREE, so he just said 'well we'll just call it at three and end it now"

Gamma got second place. He lost to me R1, had a bye R2, and won R3. and got second. i didn't even place. whatthefuck.

(did pick up some pretty good cards for a UW flying deck; opened up another Stormkirk Captain after I got home. Will post a full decklist later when I'm not seething)

Ahh, your first experience with how tiebreaks work.

Gamma sadly did finish higher than you in the Wizards official tie-break methods as they over-emphasize byes. Its frustrating as you did beat him R1.

Yeah, byes are horseshit. "You didn't play a game, let's count that as you actually winning."

Also, here's my deck from last night. When we got home we had some leftover packs so I added more to it (like another Captain, a Thrabane Doomsayer, and a couple more geists).

The first pack I opened I had a Drogskol Captain, so I took it. The second pack passed to me... also had a Drogskol Captain. So I opened up with two of those. Then I just KEPT getting passed blue/white flying cards, so it was pretty clear to me that it was open (and it was, nobody else went for that combo).

Avacyn Restored panel from PAX can be followed here. Just a few things revealed so far:

- Avacyn is not the only legendary creature, there are three others.
- Undying is the only mechanic carrying over from INN/DKA
- New mechanic: Soulbond
- Silverblade Paladin - 1WW, 2/2, Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired as long as you control both of them). As long as Silverblade Paladin is paired with another creature, both creatures have double strike. Rare card.
- Restoration Angel - 3W, Flash, Flying, 3/4, When Restoration Angel enters the battlefield, you may exile target non-angel creature you control then return that creature to the battlefield under your control. Rare.
- Sigarda, Host of Herons - 2GWW - Flying, Hexproof, 5/5, spells and abilities your opponents control can't cause you to sacrifice permanents. Mythic.
- New mechanic: Miracles
- Thunderous Wrath - 4RR, Instant, Thunderous Wrath deals 5 damage to target creature or player. Miracle R (You may cast this card for its Miracle cost when you draw it if it's the first card you drew this turn)

You forgot the important part: Fall set is RETURN TO RAVNICA. Ravnica, if you never saw it, was a set based around 10 Guilds (one for each colour pair).

Orzhov owns. Literally.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.
