I can confirm that Metabot was in a Newbie game that I modded, and another that I'm reading, so if he IS an alt of a more seasoned player, he's skirting the site rules. I am pretty sure that he's really who he appears to be. Although, I will say the cognitive dissonance of his posting style here vs. there is jarring.
