The Pokemon Nuzlocke Thread

To-do list:
~Get Vi up to level 15-20 (11 right now)
~Catch a Nazrin (for the ability to find items, especially rare candy)
~Catch a Suwako (Because Suwako is so fucking awesome)
~Catch a Kanako (Because Kanako is pretty strong)
~Maybe catch an Alice too if I feel like it.

I'm prob going to abandon my Emerald and pick up a Fire Red.

Can you not re-enter any areas? If you can, can you just not catch those pokemon? I dont really understand this. Can someone explain it For Dummies?

You are only allowed to capture the first wild Pokemon you meet in each new area. So if you encounter a Magikarp first thing on Route Fish, you either beat that or catch it (hopefully you don't lose to it...). Then you carry on business as usual, except you can't attempt to catch any other Pokemon in Route Fish. Ever.

I definitely want to do this, considering I'm actually stuck in my pokemon black file right now. I don't know how to get out of such and such cave. it's been awhile.

I was totally addicted to Black for a good stretch of time. Then I got stuck. Then I got Harvest Moon for my birthday.

You have no idea the level of addiction that is happening there. I took a break for a month ago, and now I'm back full steam ahead.

I don't think eggs/day care are allowed. I'm personally doing a No Item run right now, but that's up to you.

Also Chevre, the article you linked says you have to do the Set battles. I don't think Nuzlocke ever said that.

I got frustrated with playing with emulators long ago.

You should set whatever limitations for yourself you think will improve your experience. The point is to add replayability to the game.
