After talking with Mhork, we have decided that the best way to finish tweaking the mechanics and actual gameplay of Amstaad is to open it up to the community. We have done most of the work and finished the bulk of it, we just need help with the fine tuning and figuring out exactly how it is we will be able to go about this game.
In a few days, we will post the Official Rule Book along with the map and general history of Amstaad. Everything that you need to know as players will be revealed.
This does not mean that Amstaad is open to be played!!!
We just want the community to look things over and tell us what they think should be improved on.

This is exactly what we are doing. Right now we are just discussing the best way to open the game up to the players. Losing Klazam was a big blow to us and it brought us to a standstill. After consulting we have decided the only way to finish the mechanics is to open it up for player opinion and suggestions. Just be patient for a bit longer and I am positive that everything we can release will be up this week.

Yes that is right, we are doing a Test Quest and the Sign Ups are for the first 4 people. As soon as I have my lucky four, I will require them to create a
sample character
that will be used
ONLY
for this quest.
This is to spark some excitement about Amstaad again as I realize we haven't given much to the community aside for hard work with fixing everything. Keep in mind this is a test so the actual Amstaad experience may differ.

Thats fine quadz. We can do three people if a fourth doesn't come in, it is just a test after all.
At this point, I want to ask that the current testers begin creating a 4 aspect character to use. I would try to steer away from magic users as we dont have that system down yet. Please post your desired character here and we can discuss what needs to be changed/fixed.

As it is a test, I dont care how much flavor you have at. The reason is that flavor will change heavily once the game starts. Will elaborate later when I have more time.
This is a good character sheet for this test. Flavor is not really necessary and he has a broad range of skills to help him with whatever the quest might be.
Please get your character up soon if you haven't and we should all plan to be online* late Sunday. Inbetween 7 to 10 (central) is when I will post the quest for people to start.
*If you can't be on with everyone else, just make sure to try and at least check up so you know what is happening.

Ok what is everyone's time zone?
The quest will go on for a couple days but I can't have people posting once or twice a day. I can unlock the quest thread possibly early Sunday and just work that day on getting everyone on the same page on how the quest works. The next couple days would then be actually playing out the quest and moving hopefully not at a snails pace or it will never end.

hmm not sure which one was intended so I looked into some of the older tests that we did (klazam/mhork). It appears we use average as a starting point of 0 and if you dont have an applicable skill, then it would be -1. With that said, Inspiratieloos is right.
