If there is a need, perhaps the Most Cunning Manipulation award could be changed to something ... less specific sounding and Best Manipulation could become a spiritual successor for Best Role Claim, but only for Mafia.

Let me direct you somewhere, KK: The OP of the Scummies Nomination Thread.

There is nothing even remotely resembling that award (or any award that I can feasibly applying to a role claim, for that matter) on that list, unless I have gone blind.

An Announcement Regarding Judging Process This Year:

Due to the overwhelming amount of work and delays that happened with the judging process last year, the Scummies Steering Committee has decided to introduce a new process in order to help limit the amount of work at year's end. Rather than do "first half" and "second half" judging, the Scummies Steering Committee will be judging in smaller 'blocks' every couple of months. During this process, we will attempt to narrow down the one or two best nominees in each valid category for each block, so that at the end of year, we can present the larger group of judges with a streamlined, narrowed-down version of the nominees list.

If you were wondering why we haven't collected judges for first half voting yet, this is why.

I'd like to suggest a "Most Improved" Award.

Look, we all know that there are people on this site that are generally viewed as mediocre, bad, whatever. We also all know that most members of the community have no problem telling these people that they're bad.

Why not reward the player that takes the biggest strides toward improving? There's gotta be at least a handful of people that play and have gotten notably better over the year. They should be lauded for their attempts to improve their game and be a constructive part of the community. There can be so much negativity* on this site, and maybe it's high time that we recognize those ugly ducklings that have grown into beautiful and sexy swans.

That's part of the Rising Star scummy. It used to be separate but it didn't get that many nominations and this set-up seems a tad less negative.
