On that note, anyone here live/play in SoCal, or does anyone know how I can find the best place to go for a draft? My little brother is turning 13, lives in Simi Valley with our parents, so I'm looking between Simi Valley to Northridge/Burbank/Glendale. I know there's going to be at least a couple good places to go, I want to take him to his first draft somewhere that's going to have a decent turnout. I know there's a store finder, but anyone have any advice on finding maybe the
best
store, or just a really good one? There's a dinky LGS that runs official events right in Simi, but I've been to that shop and you couldn't fit a decent group into that place if they were all standing. There's an LCS, but they aren't listed on wizards.com, and I don't think they run events anyway.

If anyone has 3 AVR packs & 2 Tix or the 14 tix (I think?) needed to do a draft, I'm gonna join an 8man AVR draft either tonight late or tomorrow during the day if anyone else wants to join me.

I originally had the title without the :, which caused tierce to twitch in a way that I found adorable, so I changed it to something even more twitch inducing.

BV beats agar rd 1. Shea 2-0s some dbag who wouldn't concede and played it out to the point of tapping all his mana in response to my lethal attack to make me think he was going to do something. Just concede and move on, bro.

Shea moves on to the finals because he peeled his angelic wall and one of their dudes, the guy replayed it and another dude, then shea savagely ripped terminus off the top.

Also, cathars crusade is a big game.

Silverheart+Latch Seeker, 2 Wandering Wolf, 2 Trusted Forcemage, 2 Gryff Vanguard, 2 Crippling Chill. I was living the dream that draft.

And yeah, a bit more land and that game would have gone radically differently.

Just won another 8-4 (thats 2 8-4s split and 1 8-4 won outright tonight) with a deck that I, frankly, thought was pretty janky. But, I guess thats the power of actually having a curve that includes solid 2 drops in a format where everyones loading up on 4-5-6.

I would get MTO just to do drafts, but I have no interest in paying $10 just to get access to drafts.

M13's pushing Exalted
really
hard, from the spoilers I've seen so far.

Exalted gives me a big 'meh' feeling. Maybe pair em with homicidal seclusion in control decks? I'm sure that's too inside the box to even be pertinent.
