Arlis wakes at first light, washes his face with some water from a flask, and proceeds through his daily devotions. By the time he finishes and exits his tent, there are sounds of activity outside. He quickly spots the dwarven chef around the campfire, along with the Elf and nobleman that were to be his companions. Wandering over, he takes an offered plate of food, sniffs it, and asks, "What is this?"

Don't want to intrude on the existing conversation. I'll either wait for an opening or to be included.
