Uh, I don't know this Hidden Sage character, nor do I understand why he referenced me.

However, welcome to mafiascum, judging by your confusion I'm assuming you'll fit right in.

Well fuck you too, Matt. Three years of calling your shenanigans, and this is the welcome I get? Maybe I should have just stayed home.

I have been here 3 months and I have not said Hi!

Hi.

Been playing offsite for a while and I love this game. Joined here to find a different challenge and it is different. Challenge Accepted.

Welcome!

How do you pronounce your name, anyway? It looks like 'guile' to me, which is a good choice for a Mafia player...

I would give it more of a french accent because of the double L.

short for Guillermo. (Spanish)

http://www.pronouncenames.com/pronounce/guillermo

The short version goes like this:
g ee y eh

Some friends call me Guiler as pronounced in English with the hard "u". But currently I go for Taz, among my closest friends.

Hello, I'm Maggie/Maggot. =3
I became interested in these Mafia games after reading the web comic Homestuck and seeing one of these games tailored to events and characters of that comic on their forums.
I've recently queued into a newbie game and I'm really excited to play. Impatient, even. I see these games as a wonderful test of mind and logic, and I'm really interested in how well I can fare. I'm also excited to learn what to look for and how to handle myself based on my role. It should be very interesting.

There have been multiple people here from the homestuck forums. For whatever reason, certain web communities (Smash Bros, Scorehero, some magic the gathering place?) seem to field big mafia groups that find their way here. From what I gather (which isn't much, granted) I think the homestuck forums tend to play the much more role-involved nightplay sort of mafia instead of mafiascum's slower dayplay style. Try not to be culture shocked too much. (And welcome!)

Yeah, I was reading a few things mentioning the differences in playstyle. I'd be way overwhelmed if I tried to play a game as role-packed as Dersehunt. I think this slower, more daytime oriented play will help me become better at discovering how to read people and come to conclusions on my own. Then I could probably move on to some of the more role-complicated stuff and feel confident.

Yes, I value my vocabulary and my ability to utilize it correctly, so I generally tend to fit in well with others of a like mind. ^.^ Thanks for the welcome.

Lots of it. Just that it's kept outside of the games mostly.

But yeah welcome to mafiascum.

Hey everyone! I see some people here I already know and I guess I'm technically not a newbie anymore but I've been here a couple months and haven't said hello.

@MissMaggot - personally I can't wait to play with somebody else who "values [their] vocabulary and [their] ability to utilize it correctly." Well said. Also (I guess this doesn't apply to you till you finish your first game, but just for future reference) if you're as impatient as I am when it comes to the queues, keep a sharp eye out for mods needing replacements for games. I always love to snatch those up if they're early enough in the game. At that point if you replace in, you can still stay /ed in to whatever queue and get another game when it comes along. Great opportunities for lots of gametime here: That's got to be one of my favorite parts of the site.

Current Games: Mini 1347 and I replaced into Newbie games 1249 and 1255. Hello to ChaoticStar, MattP, and RachMarie!

I can't wait for my 3-month anniversary in two days so I can finally mod my first game. :D
Since I moved here I've been itching to get enough time on this site to mod my first themed game too: anybody know the GBA game
Fire Emblem
?

@Maestro: We'll certainly have to play together at some point for sure. =3

Does it usually take so long to queue into a newbie game? X_x It's been 84 hours since I /inned and there's no sign of even an update to the list. I'm
so
ready to get started.
