The reason I followed Thesp is because of Spork's claim and Thesp's claim

I play MTG, so when I hear of activated ability, I think an ability that can be used, Spork's claim phrased his ability as he could do an investigation if he had fewer points than XXX and only once. I know Mith played Magic too(i think, his deckbox for the mememeet cards we used was one used commonly for MTG) so I would expect that if he had phrased it that way in his role PM, it would count as an activated ability.

Now when Yosarian claimed he phrased it differently(this was after I voted for him), his clarification of Spork's claim is why I backed off.

Thesp, it's very simple. In order to win, the town has to win, and I have to have more points then person X. If during one night I have less points then that person, I get a one-shot investigative ability.

There is a subtle semantic difference between being able to do an investigation when having fewer points than a person and RECEIVING a one shot ability to investigate when you fall behind in points to a person.

Spork's claim basically says he has an ability, he can only use it when he has fewer points and only once.

Yosarian's claim says he RECEIVES a one shot ability.

Whether that ability would be detected by a rolecop at this stage in the game is dependent upon the wording of the claim, my vote was based on Spork's wording, which is the only wording I had to work with before Yosarian's clarification.

The Mod stands tapping his foot, waiting for a decision. He glances at the clock again. The deadline is getting close.

"Alright, let's just lynch Atticus, then."

"Whatever."

The Mod looks around and counts the raised hands. There are 10.

"Right. Atticus is lynched, then."

"Er... that's it? This is real now, you can't just say I'm lynched and have me flip over my card."

"Actually..."

There is a flash of lightning... or at least something similar to lightning, but without all the noise and exploding roofs. It goes straight through Atticus, and splits his body in half to reveal a giant card.

"There. Now everybody go to sleep..."

Scene 5 - July 24, 11:17 AM

It is late in the and almost everyone is awake. MeMe is slaving away in the kitchen, while others play various games and eye each other suspiciously. Some are anxious to get on with the job of lynching people, and so finally they decide to wake the two lazy bums who haven't gotten up yet.

"Hey! MoS! Wake up! You're going to sleep through MeMeMeet!"

There is no answer. MoS is very soundly asleep. Or...

"Uh, guys? I think MoS is..."

Indeed. MoS is not just asleep. He is dead. As they poke at him to make sure, they discover a large stack of papers in one of his pockets. On closer inspection, they appear to be slips for recording games and getting MeMeMeet Points.

Meanwhile, some of the other attendees are in trying to wake Fletcher. While prodding him, someone notcies a suspiciously loose flap of skin around his neck. Curious, someone pulls on the skin, which is in fact not skin, but a mask. "Fletcher"'s entire face is pulled away, to reveal...

Game 2: The Minority Game

If everyone wants to be different, isn't everyone the same?

It's time to visit the Bass Pro Shop, but there's a small problem. Only two cars work. Always willing to make a game out of anything, you have decided write down your prefered choice of car in private, with the goal of being in the less crowded vehicle.

You have 96 hours to PM a choice of car, by PM. The choices are "Fishbulb's Car" and "The Rental". You may discuss your choices in the thread and change as often as you like until the deadline.

Goal

You win by being in the "minority" car. Because "The Rental" is newer, it is very slightly preferred over "Fishbulb's Car", and therefore in the case of a tie a choice of "The Rental" will win. Those not sending a choice will "Stay Home", and lose.

MeMeMeet Points

Each Player will receive 1 point for each other Player beaten, plus 1 point for going to the Bass Pro Shop.

I'm aware there are different possibilities for "activated ability", but (to borrow from Magic) if you have an activated ability you are unable to use (due to conditionals on the ability itself) you still
